Tanzanite One is the sole miner of Tanzanite - the newest (blue/violet) gemstone discovery. The only known source is in Tanzania and Tiffany & Co have described this "gem" as the most significant find in 200 years. TNZ is already profitable and this could be set to have an excellent 2006.

stockbunny/ianayel - no worries. Stockbunny - not too late when you see it coming back a bit (like it is already). I think this should be heading to 3 before too long. On a low pe, I think this is considerably undervalued. I would really like to see this get a US listing now as that's going to provide good momentum and increase awareness - in which case we could be in for a multi-bagger here. Now it looks like the "find" is significant, the RNS already starts to talk about marketing this as the "birth stone" and if the DeBeers model works for Tanzanite, then we're in for a fun future. Considerably small volume today just goes to show this is still an unknown out there with few following. Good luck!

Just on an awareness note, Tom Cruise planning to give his wife Tanzanite on the imminent birth of their child. Might get publicity in the glossy mags! This was from the latest update in Momentum Investor, rating this a buy.

Good news for the shares but don't Hollywood superstars believe in surprises or is every event a publicity stunt !!
;o)

How naive!! yes, of course it's all publicity driven. I hope he's bought it and it's not been given to him - imagine that, she'd throw it back at him. ;)

Steadily higher today on increasing awareness and investor appreciation that the April figures are likely to be good.

Up another 5% today. With the latest discovery I'm getting the feeling that this is still dirt cheap and looking more and more like a multi-bagger to me.

Just raising awareness!! Something looks to be going on, now up 10% today. Don't forget it can go down too and that could be the next move. I'm hoping to hold for 2 years, then qualifying for "business assets" best tax advantage. By then the price could be nearer to 10. (That price is not based on any analysis just picked a number out of the blue.) Take some profit if you wish. Perhaps this is only now hitting the screens of some private investors/funds. Next year's profits could well be significantly higher.

Sound advice.
Indeed I sold half to bank a 30% profit but the other half will be running for quite a while yet.
In case you feel like a slight diversification I used the money to top up on FPA !!
Thanks again

It looks as though some of the more savvy investors have taken profits today (whilst some of the slower Investors chronicle readers are still getting in !!!).
More by luck than judgement I managed to sell for 265.25 but, at this rate, i might just buy them back later !!!!!
It's all good fun.

Another cracking rise on this today and I don't really believe that the institutions that are probably watching this have got in yet; but I'm sure it's on their radar.

Oh no Greyhound !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I sold too soon (although never any harm in banking a good profit and I still have half the holding left which are now most definately not going anywhere for quite a while !!)

I've been away for a couple of weeks and see there's been some profit taking on this one. Not surprising looking at the rapid rise, however I note that Small Company Share Watch had an interesting write up. They mention there could be a Nasdaq listing this year which could see the price considerably higher. This would be excellent news as I've long thought this would be needed at some point to increase investor awareness.

After the recent profit taking we're back on the rise with a current 9% gain today and looks as though we'll shortly be back to the high. With results only a few weeks away ( which should so considerable gains in profit) and maybe news on a Nasdaq listing before too long, I expect to see this heading rapidly over 300p before long.

Excellent results with net income more than doubling. I would expect to upgrades before long - looking cheap again to my mind.
