With political heavyweights like Al Gore touring the globe prattling on about all things ecological; and Congress breathing down the monolithic ultra conservative WM to massively reduce its wastage and give it a clean "green bill of health there must be both political capital and fiscal savings to be made regarding this biodegradeable/ cost saving issue. Green matters have long left small niche markets and entered mainstream corporate thinking And where there there is the will ,,,ect ect ...Sainsburys have been tinkering and skirting with the issue for years as have Asda and a plethora of American and europeon retailers . lt will happen . And soon . But as to whether SEO will reap any material benefit is quite another matter . ..Having not been involved with this stock since the dizzy heights of a tad shy of 30p my research lags behind many of you on this thread. But can anyone tell me as to their financial position; and what of the massive holding of the age of reason ? ...@+ J

Jam tomorrow should not be worth a high multiple. Bear raider Evil Knievil admitted that in being long of this stock he felt like a total prat. The shares lost 0.05p to 3.6p.

Ive just had a look at the major supermarkets websites and I have to say Sainsburys ha to be congratulated - it is the only one which has any detail on what it is trying to do and how iit is going about it. It's all about raising awareness our local asda doesnt even sell a recycled toilet paper product and when I raised the issue they said I was the first person to query it in 3 years!!!

M&S also have a very good behind the label section

Re M&S sanwiches "Weve also ensured that all the packs of cut sandwiches we sell are packaged in easy to recycle cardboard sourced from well managed forests. Even the clear film on these packs is made from cornstarch, a waste product from the agriculture industry."

Asda.co.uk has an about us section and on there is a complete breakdown of their environmental policies and how they are acheiving them as well as precise targets for the environment.
Strangely, one of the things the environmentalists are concerned about is putting starch based plastic onto cardboard boxes. They argue it should be one or the other. The cardboard will not compost due to the waxy surface and the plastic would contaminate the paper recycling, so you achieve a product that takes 2 good materials and makes it landfill fodder.
The answer could lie in WRAP 100 and Starpol as a combination, but WTFDIK.

No rocket science there, cynic.
No-one interested in this stock would not check Asdas environmental policy or what environmentalists think about biodegradable packaging or, indeed the competition as part of their research. The Wrap and Starpol combination is just an educated guess. For all I know, wrap would not RF to Starpol.
If anyone is interested in this stock and hasn't doen even that basic research I suggest they revisit their research and start again!!
Aldwickks post was lifted straight from a discussion forum about Sainsburys announcement. I think it was on the AOL blog, so the contributors are hardly likely to be well informed of the possible alternatives and the plans other supermarkets have in the pipeline.

Clearly your views and depth of knowledge do not even extend to looking at SEO's web site's Home Page to see what it's products might be.

i have no knoiwledge at all about SEO .... i only follow this thread because i cannot believe the huge number of posts and seeming following when the stock does nothing but head south.

if there was more headroom above ZERO i would have shorted this stock ..... buying it? .... heaven forbid; i know better ways of losing it like buying mature Ch d'Yquem, but at least that has a sweet taste on its way down.
