Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Interesting and relevant Fred, as we tend to take for granted some of the things gained from being a member of a club, much easier to constantly find fault with a club membership for some. Weighing up the pro's and con's takes a fair time after "listening" to people with info on how the EU works overall. Not easy as there is a lot to consider.
Attending meetings on the subject can be very informative, assuming the speakers are as non party political as seen, been to two now and more coming up when spotted I hope.
Paying much attention to what "so called" celebs have to say is also not to be recommended on this subject IMHO.

I think there is almost no chance of the vote being for OUT. Every economic think tank such as the IMF, governments, political commentators, celebrities are in favour of staying in.
The IN campaign is better organised, better funded and has more international support. The OUT campaign is a bit of a rag bag. It has no international support, no economic body support and is vague about the future. It is why the odds are 2/7 or IN and 7/2 for OUT.

I will still vote OUT, but I am becoming resigned to saying in. I always thought the in vote would win and as the campaign continues it is looking even more likely. The turnout is what will decide it. The OUT campaign needs a low turnout.

I received my poll card today, together with a crib sheet telling me what the experts say. ha ha. You can guess the tone. Heard it all before.
Reading the small print it is promoted by Will Straw, one of another would be dynasty, like the Kinnock mob, intent on living and retiring very well off the public purse. (A little work lobbying mates in the commons would go down very nice as well, of course. Musn't look a gift horse in the mouth eh?).

Take it with a pinch of salt all this polls, so here another one for OUT ........
Poll gives "Out" a 3-point lead ahead of UK's EU referendum
LONDON, May 20 (Reuters) - The "Out" camp has a lead of three percentage points over supporters of staying in the European Union ahead of Britain's June 23 referendum, according to an online opinion poll from TNS published on May 17.
The poll of 1,222 people, conducted on May 10-12, found "Leave" on 41 percent, "Remain" on 38 percent with 21 percent of respondents undecided

The con party sycophants supported Heath when he negotiated to become a member of the EU.
(I doubt they showed much loyalty to the UK or the torrid party.)
The remnants of tory rebels (yesterday's men) over joining the EU have either shrivelled up, dribbling into the drinks, or dead.

Let's face it most of them are tossers ,it's a crying shame we have a dishonest government and no opposition , even Fred doesn't think Corbyn is fit to lead.
So what now ? if we vote out maybe some of the Brexiters could form a useful government .

Gove says immigration will make NHS 'unsustainable' if UK stays in EU
Michael Gove has claimed that the NHS will no longer be sustainable if Britain stays in the EU because an immigrant population the size of Scotland could come to the UK by 2030.
The justice secretary and leading Brexit campaigner said if the UK votes to remainin the EU on 23 June he would press the government for an emergency cash injection for the NHS, while if it voted to leave he would push for hundreds of millions of pounds currently sent to the EU to be spent on the health service.
Gove’s speech coincided with official figures showing the NHS in England has run up a record deficit of £2.45bn – the biggest overspend in its history – as it struggles to cope with a surge in demand for care while suffering a major budget squeeze.
The Vote Leave immigration forecasts are likely to be strongly challenged by the remain campaign as they presume that five new countries will join the EU within four years. David Cameron has said Turkey is unlikely to join the EU in his lifetime.

Celebrities and now Gove quoted.. Some of you really do live in a sheltered little world of your own if you think anything of those two.
