Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

jimmy b - 20 May 2016 16:20 - 2036 of 12628

It is rather odd because i have heard people say they are voting out after Obama told us we would be at the back of the queue ,the British don't like being threatened .

I now hope Trump wins the US election ,he will do deals with us especially after Cameron has to stand down.

Stan - 20 May 2016 16:32 - 2037 of 12628

..Tramp now

That's the 2nd time in recent days you have answered for Stan, are you both Fred and Stan, or did you forget who you were?

No, just making a statement.

Dumbo,

Looking at the market and bookies for the last few days, it appears to me that they are marking in a vote for remaining in.

Good to see.

VICTIM - 20 May 2016 16:58 - 2039 of 12628

Have you ever thought that with your distaste of Dave , Freda ,you are just the sort of cannon fodder he is relying on to vote remain , strange but it doesn't seem to bother you .

Fred1new - 20 May 2016 17:23 - 2040 of 12628

I think Cameron and many of the present tory leadership are a disgrace to politics and often lie about their economic figures.

Unfortunately, he is intelligent, but he often uses his intelligence for his own personal benefit and not the long-term benefit of all in the country.

However, I think he is right in his judgement over in or out.

The judgement is difficult to make, but I would prefer to be working as a group than "pirating" on the outside of a group at their expense.

Have they made mistakes as an organisation? Yes.

The biggest mistake was expanding the number of members before allowing the original membership to bed down. (The UK was pushing for this to be done.)

Many others.

How many U-turns has this country made in 6 months and 6 years?

Change and modify, don't tear the walls down!

Fred still throwing insults about calling people names just because they have a different view ,your on your own here with Stan (or yourself) whatever the case may be , most people think your an idiot so stop calling people dumbo when you show every day what a bigoted , ignorant moron you are.

Stan - 20 May 2016 19:38 - 2042 of 12628

Pot & Kettle alert!

Fred1new - 20 May 2016 19:54 - 2043 of 12628

Didn't hear you Dumbo!

Haystack - 20 May 2016 22:05 - 2044 of 12628

There are reports that house prices could fall 18% if we leave the EU. Irrespective of whether it is true, it may be enough to frighten people into voting to stay in. he fear factor is building up and people will compare it to a leap into the unknown.

VICTIM - 21 May 2016 08:14 - 2045 of 12628

There you go again pathetic is the only word I can describe straight in with another threat , you want to take a good look at yourself man , if that's what you are . Haystack why don't you tell us about the threats of endless Migrants , over crowding , mass house building , overworked Hospitals and staff , being ordered what to do without consultation , the list of negatives is endless , We don't need to hear your lovers latest assault on us from you , it gets spewed out daily .

Fred1new - 21 May 2016 08:45 - 2046 of 12628

Because there is credibility gap.

aldwickk - 21 May 2016 08:48 - 2047 of 12628

I asked the Chancellor if lower house prices could actually be seen as a positive thing, particularly for first time buyers.
"You don't get affordable homes by wrecking the economy," he told me.

I think he's made a blunder about falling house prices , if you want to sell your house and house prices go down, so will the price when you buy. Also it will be good for first time buyers.

His answer that "You don't get affordable homes by wrecking the economy," show's he couldn't answer the question.

jimmy b - 21 May 2016 08:58 - 2049 of 12628

House prices falling would be good ,they are way over valued ,average young people have no chance of ever buying .
Prices have again raced ahead by stupid percentages ,it's boom and bust all over again .
Now who said no more boom and bust ,oh yes Gordon Brown.

VICTIM - 21 May 2016 08:58 - 2050 of 12628

Thank you aldwickk a decent sensible post , unlike the closet panic artist that is Haystack . I was thinking a bit of that . Thanks .

cynic - 21 May 2016 09:11 - 2052 of 12628

the super-luxury end is certainly being hit as the russkies, chinese and nigerians start to panic lest their laundered money gets too much attention from the authorities

Fred1new - 21 May 2016 09:14 - 2053 of 12628

And who has been chancellor for last 6 years?

Brilliant economic policies.

Should be in the market-place with Cameron and his barrow boy techniques.

Mind he gets on well with the Chinese and Saudis.

Also, seems to have Pals in Panama.

VICTIM - 21 May 2016 09:16 - 2054 of 12628

Blimey cynic it's because of Brexit apparently , or so some want us to believe .

cynic - 21 May 2016 09:17 - 2055 of 12628

2046 - surely a case of malapropism; it should be credibility
