Go for it Socs, sod the jobs. By the end of this week if you invest your pension wisely you could be a millionaire

Socrates - 08 Sep 2003 09:32 - 2061 of 23498

Jeff
You make it all sound so easy. Three of my last four buys are up over 30% and the fourth is static as I have expected it to be for a few days. I am fully invested at present, as far as I want to be any rate, and I am waiting for some of my old stocks to regain some value where I can liquidate them. Three should reach that state this week then I may have something to re-invest somewhere.

Are you at home today or at what I believe you call work? LOL.

vasey - 08 Sep 2003 09:54 - 2062 of 23498

Good morning, Socs! Almond croissant, please - and a coffee, thanks!

hilary - 08 Sep 2003 10:05 - 2063 of 23498

Socs,

It is easy. You just need to learn how to turn those 30%ers into 3 baggers.

:-)

Socrates - 08 Sep 2003 10:23 - 2064 of 23498

Vasey
Mmmmmm Almond croissant, is that with cream? I have some rather nice coffee for you Vasey. It's Called St Helena. Exclusive to Bettys of Harrogate and only 30 a packet.

Hilary
I'm a modest sort of a chap, 30% on all my investments would suit me fine, as long as it was each week. I've never had a one bagger yet, let alone a 3 bagger. No, I tell a lie, I had Midland Independent News. That was a 1 bagger, got taken over by Mirror Group I think. Heck, that was a long time ago.

This_is_me - 08 Sep 2003 10:26 - 2065 of 23498

3 (bin liner) bags is the amount of rubbish Me got out of my daughters' bedrooms last week-end - the dirty baggers! I don't know how they collect it, mind you what they call rubbish (eg certain CDs) and what Me call rubbish is not always the same!

LW Time to put on the TV to see if we can finish off your neighbours!

vasey - 08 Sep 2003 10:57 - 2066 of 23498

Without cream, thanks, Socs. See DYS is having a healthy correction this morning. I'm surprised there hasn't been more profit-taking, but obviously most people holding on or even buying! Time for it to have a little rest and consolidation before resuming its upward trajectory!

Socrates - 08 Sep 2003 10:57 - 2067 of 23498

T-I-M
Post it on Ebay and earn a few bob.

It wasn't just the copuple of pairs of smelly school socks that "I put in the washing basket so its not my fault they have vanished" so the postage would be huge.

Socrates - 08 Sep 2003 14:33 - 2069 of 23498

Morning all.

Not happy with buying players Chelsea is now buying Directors.

Must be great to be a Chelsea fan these days Hilary.
You should be well in with the boss when he spots you in that lada.

An amazing story how someone born with so little can achieve so much.

Good day for me today, sold my Claims people shares with a 68% profit.

hilary - 09 Sep 2003 08:10 - 2073 of 23498

T_i_m,

They're going up although it took a bit longer than I thought. I'm still of the opinion that they're worth 20p, but I expect to see the odd pullback along the way.

Hello 8ers,

Indeed. Kenyon should be good for the club. That probably explains the 12% price hike in the season tickets this year. Individual matchday seats have gone up by even more than that (47 cheapest seats). I suppose that it's still cheap to watch the team that's going to win the treble of PL, CL and FA Cup though.

:-)

jeffmack - 09 Sep 2003 09:09 - 2074 of 23498

Hil
Great results so far in the Premiership.........not

This_is_me - 09 Sep 2003 09:34 - 2075 of 23498

Thanks Hilary. Your prediction about CAV might also take longer than you expect! I hope you live to see it!!

Socrates - 09 Sep 2003 09:44 - 2076 of 23498

Morning all. Do people really pay 47 to watch a football match?

little willie - 09 Sep 2003 09:49 - 2077 of 23498

TIM...and her prediction for the Russian blue mafia

See what the Saints did to Man U.'s dreams, probably the REAL reason Kenyon left!!
And the n Hils. buggers stole OUR Bridgey to go to Their Bridgey

:-)))

Socrates - 09 Sep 2003 09:52 - 2078 of 23498

All's fair in love and football, it would seem. Anyone for tea and biscuits?

Jeffmack
