optomistic - 11 Apr 2008 13:42 - 20649 of 24230

Thanks for the warning K! That will ensure we have no visiting girlies for a while :-(
Two pints of Guinness on the bar, I've got mine.

KEAYDIAN - 11 Apr 2008 14:10 - 20650 of 24230

One was not here, but one now is. Been to the south east for a weekend and visited a nature reserve, nature was so reserved one saw nothing of any wildlife. Any tea available, if not I shall brew a pot.

optomistic - 14 Apr 2008 16:07 - 20658 of 24230

Afternoon all, a nice pot of tea would be welcome, And one or two for the Virgin engineers who are once AGAIN are striving to solve a national problem with their email 'service'

Socrates - 14 Apr 2008 16:16 - 20659 of 24230

Oh, you have that problem too, Opto! I'm afraid it may be all my e-mails from the last four days clogging up the system. I'm dreading it when they all arrive. Tea coming up. Fondant fancy?

optomistic - 14 Apr 2008 16:19 - 20660 of 24230

Fondant fancy, who's she ;-)

Socrates - 15 Apr 2008 07:51 - 20662 of 24230

Good morning all, up at crack of sparrows tday. Tea's ready.

optomistic - 15 Apr 2008 08:19 - 20663 of 24230

OK, large pot please Socs.

Socrates - 15 Apr 2008 08:30 - 20664 of 24230

One large pot coming up. I assume you mean tea-pot and not plant-pot, Opto.

I did a clean out of my portfolio the other day. Got rid of some dross and re-invested. As per usual, despite doing all the checks and charts on my new stocks, immediately I bought, down went the SP. I am getting to the point where I almost feel it necessary to apologise to stockholders for buying into their companies.

KEAYDIAN - 15 Apr 2008 08:33 - 20665 of 24230

optomistic - 15 Apr 2008 08:39 - 20666 of 24230

Socs, it runs down me shirt when I tried a plant pot!
As for stocks going down when you buy them, don't you know that's what happens ;-)
Just a zzzzz to K :-)

Socrates - 15 Apr 2008 08:46 - 20667 of 24230

Thanks Opto, I'm glad it isn't just me with my stock picking. I must admit I was taking to a friend the other day who admitted to making a small amount of cash out of share trading. Problem was he had started with a larger amount.

KEAYDIAN - 15 Apr 2008 12:35 - 20668 of 24230

Can I have lunch in bed?
