Having done a bit of research about the Campos basin compared with the Falklands plateau it seems that back in 2000 the USGS estimated P5% oil reserves for the Falklands plateau to be 17,000 mmbo whereas the Campos Basin had P5% 36,000 mmbo. So Desire is drilling in a region which may be half as prolific as the Campos basin - that would be nice.

I like the way you're thinking LS. Better still if we realise it next year.

Hi all
DES put in another great performance again today. The bulls are looking pretty strong still, DES closed on the days high. The volume was a little higher, but should increase as any more news filters through. There is some resistance at about 0.3200p, but this I think will be short lived. Things seem to be getting back on course.
Good Luck All

Yep markymar
Gone through the fibonacci line & still looking strong. It'll be great if DES closes on the days high again.
Kind Regards

Well Markymar,
Subject to a stewards enquiry, clearing customs and immigration I'd say I'm 1000 better off.
So its an new FT to cover me on the park bench, and a few bottles of Meths.
Good job all those shorters closed out, doubt I would have won otherwise.

Hi all
What a great performance for Friday. DES made great gains last week, all great signs for the new year. DES has a bit to do yet, resistance is at 0.3400p through to about 0.3700p, the 200 day moving average is about the midle. I f we see DES clear these early in the new year It'll be great.
Been having problems with my computer. So I may not get the same time to look in until I sort it.
Have A
Great New Year
Regards
Eddie

Online wouldn't let me deal early Friday due to market sizes so I watched it and couldn't take advantage. I console myself that I sold at 43p!

Hi all
Another great day for DES, there is signs of resistance on todays candle. This is the shadow on top of the real body. DES is performing well but may take a breather here before going back up through the falling window that was formed with the gap down a couple of months ago. DES has been up through the 200 day moving average today, this is a great sign of things to come. Just hope we continue the momentum.
Good Luck All

So FOGL are being eaten in million share blocks today, BOR has recently soared for no apparent reason, both reaching or surpassing previous highs. It could be New Year enthusiasm or it could be that a farm-in deal is being thrashed out in the Southern waters ( RKH has not moved off it's lows much and Desire has only just returned to fair value so the Northern holdings do not seem to be chased as strongly). It looks like investors think there is more short term potential in the South than in the North which isn't consistent with the detailed 3D seismic already carried out in the North or the enticing geology of an ancient rift valley with it's associated sandy deltas found in Desire's plot. I hope if deals are being struck that Phipps ensures Desire is included even if it means losing a few percent of the oil.
Thank you Eddie for the great graphics
