No. They are not facts just because they are reported in the press. Of course France is as you say, overrun with Muslims. France was a colonial power in North Africa. I have been visiting Paris and other cities for more than 40 years and there has always been a strong Muslim influence.

For instance about twenty five years ago I had an Egyptian guy working for me and he tried to get married to a second wife in the UK. He was advised to get married in Paris where they recognised muslim multiple marriages.

They are a professional and well balanced organisation, with official and open connections to the various UK and european police forces, and openly co-operate with MI5 and Mossad over terrorism incidents and risk and with the Home Secretary over anti-semitic incidents.

I think that religion and religious icons should be held up to ridicule. I think being offended is over rated. There should be freedom to offend people. I saw Vince Cable on question time some weeks ago and even he said almost exactly the same thing. The reform of the House of Lords and the removal of Lord Bishops should help in the trend to a secuilar sociatey. People who believe in spernatural being with no evidence should be offended even more regularly.

It is good to be so definite about yourself and opinions and what is right for others.

Or, perhaps, is it another delusion, a substitute false belief, another over valuation of yourself, or another false belief about yourself?

I don't mind people believing in paranormal beings. I don't mind them practising their 'faith'. They just don't deserve any special treatment any more then people who believe in UFOS, ghosts, that the earth is flat or other such silly nonsense. We shouldn't be giving their schools special tax treatment or their 'churches' (churches include temples etc). We are heading towards a secular society and the sooner the better. Organised religion is one of the most damaging influences in the world at the moment and has been for thousands of years.

Got to completely agree with that.
The problem is that some people "need" religion and because it is so embedded in so many different cultures it can only wither slowly without positive governmental action.
Roll on a secular society where religion has zero connection to the state and doesn't financially bleed or twist and distort society and social policy.

Religious schools only perform better because they are preselecting their pupils from parents who see education as important. They are not better schools per se.
