rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.
for those so inclined, i attach below charts for FTSE and FTSE 250, though one might equally be tempted to trade Dow or S&P, which is significantly broader in its coverage, or even NASDAQ
for ease of reading, i have attached 1 year and 3 month charts in each instance

the bubble has finally burst, at least for now :-))
Dax now 10,550 and falling
perhaps a little early to call this is a significant break south, but if it proves to be so, then next significant support may as low as 10,250

Are we expecting FTSE to do the same?

quite possibly .... watch to see how S&P and Dow close tonight
================
S&P struggled back above the important 2108 level before the close .... not yet all doom and gloom

banked an excellent profit on my last short Dax position last evening
being very greedy, have opened a very small long Dax on basis that at least a DCB is probably due

have closed this morning's Dax long for a very small profit, and also one on Dow with a slightly larger profit
that still leaves me with a small long open on each of the above, but it reduces my exposure in the event that the gunslinger gets elected
of course, if crooked hillary gets elected, then those positions should whizz away north

as long as it's small, you shouldn't come to too much harm even if the gunslinger carries the day

Would think there would be some sort of bounce on Monday, but for how long? Market will still be here after the US Election, made a few bob short on UKX yesterday, still think it will bomb.

so amazingly the slurs by staunch republican comey are admitted as effectively never having had any foundation
well, well, well!
anyhow, the markets knee-jerk reaction was predictable in the circumstances (+78, +110 and +127)
more interesting will be to see how it carries through into the open of europe trading and beyond

I have had a FTSE trade close its self this evening nicely up, plus i have a couple of stock trades i opened on Friday that i would have tried to jump out of tomorrow but i think we are in for a blue open in the morning and all because the FBI says Clintons e,mails are nothing to worry about , the Donald may be in trouble now.
