VANE MINERALS, A Cheaper And Lower Risk Route Into The Uranium Market. (VML)

goldfinger - 08 Mar 2005 09:20

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE..

COMPANY WEB SITE.........

http://www.vaneminerals.com/

THE PRICE OF URANIUM IS GOING BALISTIC...

The uranium spot price hasn't seen a down month since 2001. For years now, uranium producers have met just 60% of total annual demand - the other 40% coming from government stockpiles and decommissioned nuclear warheads. This can go on for only so long.

The tightness of supply comes at a time of atomic resurgence. Three large-scale factors have turned the tide in favour of nuclear energy:
geopolitics, global warming and developing world growth.

Analysts are debating over wether the SP of Uranium increase will be three fold within 2007?.

Looks like to me, the best play on the UK market for Uranium and it hasnt gotten away yet like the other two ZBA Zareba and URA Uranium which have multi bagged. Its also in a position to fund its development with a new gold mine producing. Ive added twice this morning and think this one could be very big. Heres the announcement...........

Vane Minerals PLC
07 March 2005

VANE Minerals plc (AIM: VML)

VANE Announces Diversification Into Uranium Exploration And Development

Vane Minerals ('VANE' or 'the Company') announces that it is diversifying its
current project portfolio by entering into the uranium exploration and
development business.

To date 7 uranium targets have been successfully claimed by the Company and 28
further properties have been identified and are under development. VANE expects
to finalise its property position by the end of the first quarter 2005. The
Company is targeting uranium projects that are either at, or near, resource
stage or targets that exhibit similar surface features to mines with past
production, but that have not yet been evaluated for the presence of uranium.

The 35 properties identified are located within a uranium district with
significant past production as well as significant resources. Due to the
current uranium market conditions, we prefer to not identify the location until
we complete our property position. Previous drilling data available for some of
the 7 properties successfully claimed indicate grade intersects from 0.34 up to
1.78% U3O8.

VANE has incorporated a 100% owned subsidiary to hold its uranium properties and
has also successfully recruited a uranium geologist, Kristopher K. Hefton B.Sc.,
who has considerable experience in this field and is a great addition to the
VANE team. Mr. Hefton has worked with VANE's exploration team in the past during
his time at Freeport McMoran, and he has also worked for Barrick Gold
Corporation, Homestake Mining Company and Energy Fuels Nuclear Inc.

Michael Spriggs, Chairman of VANE, commented, 'We are delighted to announce the
addition of these uranium assets to the VANE portfolio and will update the
market with more substantial details once further properties have been claimed.
The uranium market has been strong for some time now, reflecting a long-term
forecast supply shortage and the growing recognition that nuclear energy offers
a cleaner and more energy efficient fuel source. Through our extensive network,
we have identified some quality projects and look forward to releasing further
details when appropriate.'

Aproval of further 8 drilling programs in Northern Arizona Breccia Pipe project

VANE is pleased to announce that its wholly-owned uranium subsidiary VANE
Minerals (US) LLC, has received approvals on eight 'Plans of Operations' put
forward by VANE for exploration drilling on its breccia pipe targets in northern
Arizona.

Seven approvals to drill are on projects located on U.S. Forest Service lands in
the Kaibab National Forest. According to the Forest Service, the applications
received from VANE were the first submitted in over 20 years for breccia pipe
drilling in this area. Activities in the area began to close in the mid-1980's
due to uranium market conditions. The Company is very encouraged with these
approvals and believes it has established a process whereby approvals can be
obtained for projects on Forest lands on a timely basis moving forward. The
approvals are for drilling on the Antelope Pipe and the CP3, CP4, CP6, CP8,
CP10, and CP11 pipe targets. Approval of the applications comes following
archaeological and biological surveys carried out by the Company in 2007.

The eighth approval received is on the Willaha target located on State of
Arizona school trust lands. On surface indications are that this target contains
uranium mineralization, with 5000 counts per second (cps) gamma radiation or 50
times background recorded by VANE in 2007 from a hand-held gamma-ray
scintillometer.

These projects will be added to the current drilling schedule to be drilled in
2008. The Company is presently looking to contract a second rig suitable for
breccia pipe drilling in order to accelerate the pipe exploration program.

Matthew Idiens, Director of Corporate Development commented: 'These approvals
are significant for the Company in that we are the first in 20 years to obtain
permits from the Forest service in this area. The drilling programs continue to
move ahead and following last year's successful fundraising, we believe the
Company is in a strong position to create significant value for shareholders in
2008'

Guidance for Mining, Oil and Gas Companies, has reviewed and approved the

Excellent news for Vane.

cynic - 15 Jan 2008 10:16 - 2109 of 2220

hardly earth shattering ..... it's nice to have some news, but even the CEO's statement is pretty muted (we believe the Company is in a strong position to create significant value for shareholders in 2008) .... i'll believe that when i see sp chugging upwards

driver - 15 Jan 2008 13:46 - 2110 of 2220

This is very good news despite what the sp is doing right now I have no worries only more chance to top up.

There is now a lot of drilling being done in 2008 is this new lot on top of the 30 already that we no about.

These projects will be added to the current drilling schedule to be drilled in
2008. The Company is presently looking to contract a second rig suitable for
breccia pipe drilling in order to accelerate the pipe exploration program.

cynic - 15 Jan 2008 13:48 - 2111 of 2220

would like to agree with you, but perhaps i am just getting too hard-bitten and old to share your enthusiasm for the immediate future (say 3/6 months)

driver - 15 Jan 2008 13:59 - 2112 of 2220

cynic
Just sit back and relax with so many pipes being drilled it only needs one hit for this to multi bag and all being financed from their own mine with the price of silver and gold at an all time high.
Top up if you can.

cynic - 15 Jan 2008 14:01 - 2113 of 2220

shan't top up but will certainly keep my fingers crossed! ..... i have no idea of the odds of finding a decent deposit, but hope they are no longer than for oil - 5/1 on a good day

pma68 - 15 Jan 2008 16:50 - 2114 of 2220

I am inclined to agree with Cynic. I have been a long-term holder in this company and am beginning to tire of being told how many targets they have. They seem to be taking an eternity in getting on with the actual drilling and extracting stuff from the ground. This is what will ultimately drive the share price higher (hopefully)!

aldwickk - 16 Jan 2008 13:30 - 2115 of 2220

Sold all mine today at a 36% loss and bought GFM, more chance of a recovery in GFM price.

aldwickk - 16 Jan 2008 13:44 - 2116 of 2220

aldwickk - 16 Jan 2008 13:48 - 2117 of 2220

Looking at the chart there is not much between them.

driver - 16 Jan 2008 16:13 - 2118 of 2220

From the other side, sp coming back a bit.

I was a little worried so I called the company this morning. Absolutely nothing wrong. Operationally everything going to plan, all except for the share price. In closed period until April/May or management would be buying at these prices. Cash position is now good as a result of the placing. Should have all permits from BLM by end of Jan to start drilling in Utah. Resource estimate due for North Alice in H1, should be enough to progress to prefeasibility study, and then bankable study.

They did say they are holding back as possible on news because it allows sellers to sell into strength in the current market. Want to hold fire as long as allowable. Also they confirmed there was a seller, who is almost done.

Still very confident of finding good quantities of Uranium.

cynic - 16 Jan 2008 16:44 - 2119 of 2220

bet there have been a lot! ..... another really shitty day, but at least it's over ..... badly need Dow to squeeze to blue tonight

hlyeo98 - 16 Jan 2008 17:18 - 2120 of 2220

I think VML is a buy if it goes lower.

halifax - 16 Jan 2008 17:33 - 2121 of 2220

We seem to have lost sight of the fact that this is election year in the US what is happening in their economy will determine the election result remember what Bill Clinton once said. "Its the economy stupid".
The Republicans have little or no chance of winning so what big business is looking for is the Democrats to spend vast amounts of money on social programmes. This reminds me of 1997 when we elected Blair. This will revive the stockmarket for a while.

robertalexander - 06 Feb 2008 15:42 - 2122 of 2220

Driver/anyone,

anyone know if all permits from BLM by end of Jan to start drilling in Utah were gotten?
...they confirmed there was a seller, who is almost done... has he?

the lack of news, for what ever reason is frustrating, and i guarantee the minute i bale the news will come through and SP will rocket.
