THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

cynic - tanker is pretty straight forward and predictable - mrsi is another thing all together.

TANKER - 07 Feb 2013 07:55 - 21068 of 81564

skin just like to wind up CYNIC and he bites

TANKER - 07 Feb 2013 08:17 - 21069 of 81564

better than going fishing with cynic you get a bite ever time .

Fred1new - 07 Feb 2013 09:07 - 21070 of 81564

Cynic,

"at least he's just totally laughable and a standing joke, unlike Mj/MRSI who is (was!) a seriously nasty individual"

Some how I can't visualise you as a particularly charming individual, or having many friends. Drinking partners, maybe.

cynic - 07 Feb 2013 09:46 - 21071 of 81564

no vision, that's your problem :-) ...... to me, MrT is just a failed clown; he might be able to wind up a clockwork mouse, but certainly not someone as old or even senile as myself

goldfinger - 07 Feb 2013 09:48 - 21072 of 81564

He he, I told you the torries were cheats........

cynic - 07 Feb 2013 09:51 - 21073 of 81564

perhaps he was playing brag; if so, he clearly won!

Haystack - 07 Feb 2013 10:07 - 21074 of 81564

gf

"He he, I told you the torries were cheats......."

Torries would be inhabitants of the Aberdeen district of Torry.

They just can't help themselves!....LOL

"Shamed former MP Chris Huhne has grabbed one last lump of taxpayers' cash by buying a £600 iPad on his expenses just before he quit.

Shortly before he pleaded guilty in court to asking his ex-wife to take his speeding points, the Lib Dem decided to treat himself to a top of the range Apple tablet."

huhne is a liar and a thief

optomistic - 07 Feb 2013 11:59 - 21077 of 81564

Well TANKER... "huhne is a liar and a thief" ...he won't be able to sue you for that.

Or should I say he is unlikely to sue you for saying that...after all the lies he has told he may be starting to believe what he says is all true!

TANKER - 07 Feb 2013 12:52 - 21078 of 81564

the whole gov is a digusting cesspit

Fred1new - 07 Feb 2013 13:04 - 21079 of 81564

Pull the chain!

optomistic - 07 Feb 2013 13:06 - 21080 of 81564

...and they seem unwilling /unable to do anything to change the public's perception of themselves. If only we could have a good few weeks without another scandal coming out of Westminster it would be a start!

ahoj - 07 Feb 2013 13:09 - 21081 of 81564

The "media" like scandals. I think they will make one if nothing comes out of the Westminster.
That's funny, but true, history has the record.

Fred1new - 07 Feb 2013 13:17 - 21082 of 81564

When some MPs leave Westminster, you can hear the drip, drip, drip of scandal.

Haystack - 07 Feb 2013 13:26 - 21083 of 81564

Cameron is winning the argument on the EU budget. The UK, Germany and northern EU countries want cuts. Of course France with its very silly socialist government want things to stay the same or an increase.

Fred1new - 07 Feb 2013 13:38 - 21084 of 81564

I will W/S/

Fred1new - 07 Feb 2013 16:29 - 21085 of 81564

Hays,

If your mate is doing so well, why is the value of sterling over the last 6 months dropped about 10% against the Euro.

And why has Osborne stopped harping on about AAA.

And also have a look at inflation.

Haystack - 07 Feb 2013 16:33 - 21086 of 81564

Inflation is fine. Or credit rating is better than almost every EU country and every other country for that matter. The pound is lower because of our low interest rates. If you buy Euros to invest in EU banks such as Germany then you get better rates. It is always the same when there is a differential rate situation.
