THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

"He he, I told you the torries were cheats......."

Torries would be inhabitants of the Aberdeen district of Torry.

They just can't help themselves!....LOL

"Shamed former MP Chris Huhne has grabbed one last lump of taxpayers' cash by buying a £600 iPad on his expenses just before he quit.

Shortly before he pleaded guilty in court to asking his ex-wife to take his speeding points, the Lib Dem decided to treat himself to a top of the range Apple tablet."

cleggs wife family have made millions out of lib policys
huhne is a liar and a thief

optomistic - 07 Feb 2013 11:59 - 21077 of 81564

Well TANKER... "huhne is a liar and a thief" ...he won't be able to sue you for that.

Or should I say he is unlikely to sue you for saying that...after all the lies he has told he may be starting to believe what he says is all true!

TANKER - 07 Feb 2013 12:52 - 21078 of 81564

the whole gov is a digusting cesspit

Fred1new - 07 Feb 2013 13:04 - 21079 of 81564

Pull the chain!

optomistic - 07 Feb 2013 13:06 - 21080 of 81564

...and they seem unwilling /unable to do anything to change the public's perception of themselves. If only we could have a good few weeks without another scandal coming out of Westminster it would be a start!

ahoj - 07 Feb 2013 13:09 - 21081 of 81564

The "media" like scandals. I think they will make one if nothing comes out of the Westminster.
That's funny, but true, history has the record.

Fred1new - 07 Feb 2013 13:17 - 21082 of 81564

When some MPs leave Westminster, you can hear the drip, drip, drip of scandal.

Haystack - 07 Feb 2013 13:26 - 21083 of 81564

Cameron is winning the argument on the EU budget. The UK, Germany and northern EU countries want cuts. Of course France with its very silly socialist government want things to stay the same or an increase.

Fred1new - 07 Feb 2013 13:38 - 21084 of 81564

I will W/S/

Fred1new - 07 Feb 2013 16:29 - 21085 of 81564

Hays,

If your mate is doing so well, why is the value of sterling over the last 6 months dropped about 10% against the Euro.

And why has Osborne stopped harping on about AAA.

And also have a look at inflation.

Haystack - 07 Feb 2013 16:33 - 21086 of 81564

Inflation is fine. Or credit rating is better than almost every EU country and every other country for that matter. The pound is lower because of our low interest rates. If you buy Euros to invest in EU banks such as Germany then you get better rates. It is always the same when there is a differential rate situation.

Haystack - 07 Feb 2013 16:36 - 21087 of 81564

The low pound is good for our exports. Our currency is also low due to the low interest on our bonds.

goldfinger - 07 Feb 2013 16:42 - 21088 of 81564

Worst chancellor this country as ever had...... Osbourne.

Look at the cock up at the last budget. A 16 year old taking o level economics could have done better.

What a bollox up hes made of child benefit for higher earners.

Come election year and before, he'l have middle class voters having to pay tax arrears, last thing a party wants before an election.

Well out of his depth.

goldfinger - 07 Feb 2013 16:46 - 21089 of 81564

Getting to like Gove bar his massive cock up today. At least he admitted on TV news he made a massive mistake with GCEs

Seems a decent type even if he does look like a goldfish chewing plankton.

Watch out DAVE ....... Gove is over your shoulder.

Fred1new - 07 Feb 2013 17:03 - 21090 of 81564

I think if Gov concentrated on raising the standards of teaching rather than the standard of the examination, the overall result maybe better.
-----------------

Hays,

Euro/P

So if the pound drops to 1-1 against the Euro, the UK will be saved.

I bet the tory party won't be saved at the next election.

Osborne is turning the UK into a banana republic.

If we had better climate is he hoping that the UK will be able to survive on "holiday makers" coming for a cheap holiday, low taxes and "casinos".

What a pile of ----- the next government is going to have to clean up.

And before you blame labour once again, remember this crowd have been in "power", but not control for nearly 3years and promised that they could walk on water, if they were elected.

By the ways, are you still blaming your mother for what you have turned into?

Stan - 07 Feb 2013 17:09 - 21091 of 81564

H/S, P.21064. largely irrelevant, the important question is what "exactly" are this mob going to do about it?

Haystack - 07 Feb 2013 17:19 - 21092 of 81564

Of course it is relevant. These terrible things happened in hospitals over years under Labour. The hospitals have largely blamed the target culture imposed by Labour. When Labour were in power, every aspect of government was about spin. The truth was rarely told.

Fred1new - 07 Feb 2013 17:25 - 21093 of 81564

Stan,

Introduce cut backs and cost cuttings on the attempt to increasing the efficiency of the machine.

Change the system to create more confusion and demoralisation, also decentralise and disperse responsibility.

And of course introduce certificates of competence for all staff. The certification provided by the private sector.

Without patients it would be a perfect system, perhaps that is what the Hunt is striving for.
