Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

Hays,
If your mate is doing so well, why is the value of sterling over the last 6 months dropped about 10% against the Euro.
And why has Osborne stopped harping on about AAA.
And also have a look at inflation.

Inflation is fine. Or credit rating is better than almost every EU country and every other country for that matter. The pound is lower because of our low interest rates. If you buy Euros to invest in EU banks such as Germany then you get better rates. It is always the same when there is a differential rate situation.

The low pound is good for our exports. Our currency is also low due to the low interest on our bonds.

Worst chancellor this country as ever had...... Osbourne.
Look at the cock up at the last budget. A 16 year old taking o level economics could have done better.
What a bollox up hes made of child benefit for higher earners.
Come election year and before, he'l have middle class voters having to pay tax arrears, last thing a party wants before an election.
Well out of his depth.

Getting to like Gove bar his massive cock up today. At least he admitted on TV news he made a massive mistake with GCEs
Seems a decent type even if he does look like a goldfish chewing plankton.
Watch out DAVE ....... Gove is over your shoulder.

I think if Gov concentrated on raising the standards of teaching rather than the standard of the examination, the overall result maybe better.

Hays,
Euro/P
So if the pound drops to 1-1 against the Euro, the UK will be saved.
I bet the tory party won't be saved at the next election.
Osborne is turning the UK into a banana republic.
If we had better climate is he hoping that the UK will be able to survive on "holiday makers" coming for a cheap holiday, low taxes and "casinos".
What a pile of ----- the next government is going to have to clean up.
And before you blame labour once again, remember this crowd have been in "power", but not control for nearly 3years and promised that they could walk on water, if they were elected.
By the ways, are you still blaming your mother for what you have turned into?

H/S, P.21064. largely irrelevant, the important question is what "exactly" are this mob going to do about it?
Haystack

Of course it is relevant. These terrible things happened in hospitals over years under Labour. The hospitals have largely blamed the target culture imposed by Labour. When Labour were in power, every aspect of government was about spin. The truth was rarely told.

Stan,
Introduce cut backs and cost cuttings on the attempt to increasing the efficiency of the machine.
Change the system to create more confusion and demoralisation, also decentralise and disperse responsibility.
And of course introduce certificates of competence for all staff. The certification provided by the private sector.

Without patients it would be a perfect system, perhaps that is what the Hunt is striving for.

Hays,
At least the labour government built some decent hospitals to replace the dilapidated institutions left by the tories, who squandered the cash from the North Sea Exploration of Oil and gas.
Also, the corrupt low cost sell off of the utilities could have been used for improvements for the “infrastructure” rather than lining the pockets of a small part of the population.
Also, the labour government ploughed a large amount into the hardware within the hospitals necessary to raise the standards of medicine and care in general.
Did Labour make mistakes, yes, PFIs (introduced by Maggie), to much bureaucracy, or the wrong type.
Too many changes, over too short a period and not enough attention to consequences of changes on moral within the NHS.
But the faults as described at Staffs show the weakness of the change of organisation in the Health Service and also the “morality” and “standards” of those who perpetrated the appalling actions.
Unfortunately, in a large organisation there will be “rotten” portions.
But the overall policies in place were correct, but the administration at local level appears appalling.

Stop wrongly quoting me. I said "Largely" Irrelevant.
The target culture started with The Con party Gov. 1979 onwards and the last lot maintained it , and when it comes to propaganda The "Con" Party Government in the 1979 era onwards.. led the way.
So what "exactly" are your mob going to do about it?

Not even largely irrelevant. Completely irrelevant. Labour just could not run the NHS any more than anything else. Labour has always been a tax and spend party. When they have taxed to the hilt they transform into a borrow and spend party. Normally the Consetvatives then arrive and save the country. Labour usually only get one parliament before the electorate are fed up with them. Last time Blair and Brown just lied for years and it took longer to throw them out. This time it will take longer to fix Labour's blunders and stupid policies.

You are in no position to criticise anyone after the "Nest Feathering" and "Selling off the Family Silver" that went on in the 18 Thatcher and Major years.
So again.. "exactly" what are your mob going to do about it?
