My postman won't be getting a hernia delivering a prospectus to my house because my shares are held by NatWest Stockbrokers as Nominees. I have until 27 October to change my mind about the number of shares which I applied for this morning.

If this 3 for 5 placing is 'oversubscribed', who gets priority?.
At this rate, 600mil. should be no problem.

potatohead - 16 Oct 2006 13:07 - 21494 of 27111

last chance to get in ERX before it breaks 1p...

oblomov - 16 Oct 2006 13:16 - 21495 of 27111

How can it be oversubscribed, Patishere?

garyble - 16 Oct 2006 13:40 - 21496 of 27111

Patisear,

It cannot be "over-subscribed" as the offer is 3 new shares for every 5 owned at the cut-off date.

{Sorry my head still in the sand due to bad news weekend}

NS - 16 Oct 2006 14:21 - 21498 of 27111

I topped up my shares on the 5th October with Selftrade, so I assumed that these new shares would qualify for the 3 to 5 offer entitlement.
I just checked my Selftrade account & have only been offered the entitlement on my original holding in SEO, but not for the additional shares i topped up with.
I have had a look at the contract note for the additional shares & the "Trade Date" (when i actually paid for the shares) was 5th October, but the "Settlement Date" is shown as the 10th October?
Should i be entitled to purchase the 3 to 5 offer shares for my entire SEO holding??

robinhood - 16 Oct 2006 14:38 - 21499 of 27111

ns- i do not think so as you are not the "owner" until 10th october

jimward9 - 16 Oct 2006 15:10 - 21500 of 27111

ns
I traded on the 5th with settlement on the 10th, mine are included. Phone your broker.

Oilywag - 16 Oct 2006 15:34 - 21501 of 27111

Well if the Mineworkers Pension Scheme has bought a notifiable interest in SEO, lets hope that they think they have struck a rich seam of gold, or even platinum or else they are all platypusses (or is it platypi?)

The oily one

Notice how deafening the silence has been from certain quarters during the past four trading days? Its almost peaceful!!

hewittalan6 - 16 Oct 2006 15:37 - 21502 of 27111

Don't tempt 'em oliy.
I'm enjoying it just as it is!!

pinnacle - 16 Oct 2006 15:41 - 21503 of 27111

I am still here!!

Just taken my full entitlement today.

Pleased to see a pension fund is interested as they have to take a long term view!!

oblomov - 16 Oct 2006 15:55 - 21504 of 27111

As Oily knows, I emailed SEO to ask for clarification on the Biotech Patent schedule in the prospectus. My email and the reply just received are copied below (all names apart from Sylvia's have been changed to protect the innocent!).

I've either got someone elses email or this is the standard SEO 'dont ask awkward questions' reply! 'we are unable to comment on specific questions due to stock exchange rules' - oh yeah?! lol That explains a lot. Not much point in going to the AGM, then.

---

Dear Sirs,

I am an investor and trying to decide whether to take up the recent open offer.

I am a little confused by the Biotec Patent situation. In the schedule relating to Stanelco's own patents you indicate in the prospectus which patents related to which products.

Could you please tell me which of the Biotec patents is relevant to Starpol (2000 and/or 300) and Wrap 100? Are they the patents highlighted in the schedule?

Kind regards

Mr Oblomov
