SUPERSCAPE - TECHNOLOGY FOR THE FUTURE. (SPS)

Happy1 - 03 Mar 2004 22:47

Superscape was founded nearly twenty years ago, and has been dedicated throughout its history to the development of ground-breaking software technology for the creation and delivery of innovative, high quality interactive 3D applications.
Over the years, Superscape has amassed unparalleled expertise and experience in the development of 3D software capable of working within the constraints of limited memory devices, slow processor speeds and strictly controlled file sizes.

Drawing on this knowledge, Superscape has established a world-leading position in the development of industry-standard 3D technology and applications for mobile devices. The company's Swerve technology has been developed specifically for wireless environments in close collaboration with ARM, and comprises a 3D engine (Swerve Client), authoring tools (Swerve Studio) and a broad portfolio of 3D content, with particular emphasis on 3D games. Swerve is being adopted on a global basis by many of the mobile industry's leading players, together with world-renowned content and brand organisations.

Superscape has corporate headquarters in Hook, Hampshire (UK) and San Clemente, California (USA) with regional offices in Tokyo and Sydney. The company is quoted on the London Stock Exchange (LSE: SPS).

Superscape (SPS) has received various tips in the press and by Analysts recently which will certainly give impetous to the share price. Indicators are looking good with the RSI rising off an oversold position and the MACD crossing showing BULLISH signs for the stock.

The mobile gaming market is still in it's infancy but the projected revenue is enormous. Mobile operators are looking at tapping the Gameboy market as they feel that users will not want to carry around a multitude of technology and if they have a mobile phone which can double as a gaming station than people will prefer this option.

People should also look at the recent contracts which SPS have signed for their technology. This is a technology company which could well be a great success in 2004.

I get a bit nervous when all posings are positive and still no mention of Competition. Also I don't see people using their tiny LCD's to view films or 3D-films. Maybe a clip of goal-scoring or some pop-artiste swinging her hips, but is that where sps sees the huge income?
If something is that good the likes of Microsoft and/or other software co's will want a slice - and then the huge market is suddenly much smaller. I hold sps for now.

hangon,

Have a look at the SPS website about the Swerve chip and the Java standard they helped develop with the likes of ARM. The 3D technology is a first for mobiles and is aimed at the games market not film. But there is no reason why the chip and std couldn't be used for anything 3D. Microsoft have no chance of developing a rival chip IMO, they don't do chips or java. Java is the future and SPS are here to stay, whether they make the hundreds of millions remains to be seen, but I believe they will make a lot of money and the current price even at 50p is CHEAP given the potential. watch this space

Interims will be out on 15th October and possibility then of new commercial wins...3g phones, the key technology platform for SPS latest range of games will be out as early as this Christmas - a serious chance that SPS can now establish a robust revenue stream to begin turning in a profit in 06/07. Risky but I think the potential is being grasped by the market and we should see the rally continue.

ehall - 05 Oct 2004 07:56 - 219 of 707

They already have revenue screens, 2d versions of their new 3d titles are already out and selling well according to the industry. every phone that has swerve embedded generates a revenue of about 10p and every embedded game generates revenue although no-one appears to want to put figures on this. SPS say there will be 10 million swerved phones by end of Jan and are looking for 100m long term (end of the following year). DYOR and get some pretty amazing figures coming back at you. One of the best long term buys around and 56p is this weeks target price!

"royalty revenue is now starting to be generated", a key moment for SPS I feel. The question now is "how much" will they be making? Apparently Vodafone will have the 3G phones in their uk stores by next month. An exciting time for SPS holders.

The only way is up.

sandrew64 - 13 Oct 2004 14:08 - 224 of 707

Half listening to Radio 2 - sounded like they said they were doing a story on how to use your mobile phone for playing games on the business news tonight -unless I misheard.

sandrew64 - 13 Oct 2004 17:39 - 225 of 707

Sorry guys they were only on about playing the lottery by using your mobile. Not what I was hoping for at all.

willfagg - 14 Oct 2004 21:52 - 226 of 707

I thought Superscapes interim results were due tomorrow? If so its a little disconcerting that the price has fallen away today! You would hope the price would rise in anticipation of revenue growth being announced.

Kivver - 15 Oct 2004 09:09 - 227 of 707

good looking interims results with big improvements on last, this looks like an accelerating upward curve. Hopefully lots of positive statements to come.

ehall - 15 Oct 2004 09:20 - 228 of 707

The figures are somewhat irrelevant for the future as they hardly had any products on the market by the end of July, these were all content deals. The comments are about as positive as they can be and it appears that the four corner strategy is giving SPS a good head start in the industry, expect the last 4 operators to be signed in the next month or so and a trading update shortly after xmas should provide a better idea of the revenue stream when products are actually on the market.

Analysts will get all of the juicy stuff this morning, expect some action this afternoon or Monday!

willfagg - 15 Oct 2004 09:38 - 229 of 707

I gree with you ( e hall) completely) The incres(ninefold ) is as much as could be expected . 3d games were not available until september. When you read the report though its difficult to fault. can you imagine why people have sold this morning? it keeps amazing me that companies issue excellent results and the immediate effect is a price drop!Confusing life , do not understand why they had then in their portfolio. Anyway potential massive could be one of the major stories ever (IMO)

willfagg - 15 Oct 2004 09:39 - 230 of 707

pleeze exkuse spolling errers,... had a late flight last night

skids - 15 Oct 2004 10:20 - 231 of 707

I think the interims didn't have anything unexpected, hence the slight drop i.e. there was probably some expectation for more. We already knew what the results would say based on previous news. All in all SPS are heading in the right direction and the head north will continue once the 3G phone revenues start to come in (the coming months).

Its back to blue(still my favorite colour)It would appear that investors have decided to read past the line that said 3 million loss and digest thet numerous paragraphs of upbeat comment demonstrating massive potential that will start to come through in the second half of their year.

ehall - 15 Oct 2004 14:32 - 233 of 707

886rade now showing, unlucky to all of you that sold at 42p this morning, you should have more intelligence!

willfagg - 15 Oct 2004 14:45 - 234 of 707
