I hope, for TPlus Guy's sake, that this one shows some upward movement before he returns from his hols!
Seems to be sinking like a stone. Surely this is more than a tree-shake, although there's not been any news, as far as I'm aware, which could cause such a drop.
Any other holders with any thoughts?

PRINCESS
every share in my portfollio is red today and olthough i am many thousands down i still have my sense of humour.re telecom plus been in theese since 2.20 and still expect 10.00 long term.its been a bumpy ride since 4.00 but with directers buying last month and results due soon i still intend to hold, historicly the price always seems to drop before results. no advice intended,i have spoken to a couple of distributers and they tell me buiseness is booming.

You're right, roy, a sense of humour is a definite plus in this game - especially on a day like this!
Sorry that your portfolio is down at the mo'. I agrre with you that TEP is still a good long term hold. It's a;ready started its tentative way back up.

Hi Guys im back from hols and yes i am surprised but not alot because like Roy has said this share always drops before results are put out and then seems to go from strenth to strenth..I know the results will be good again because we have grown in both customer and distributor numbers and more poeple are taking multiple services..
Our free telephone offer has brought in quite alot too. This share could go 10+ in time because of the way we operate which means we should see growth every year for some time to come and unless we get replicated which would be hard there is going to be more services added to our list which in turn should help us grow...
This is all my opinion obviously and i have been a exec for T+ now for 5 years and have seen great improvement each and every year since joining..Anyway,,bye for now and cant wait for results to be announced,,will let you know when this happens..
Mark
By the way we have a free share option scheme on offer to anyone wanting to join our biz so if interested please let me know...

TELECOM plus PLC
Preliminary results for the year ended 31 March 2004
Telecom plus plc, the UK's leading integrated multi-utility (gas, electricity, telephony, internet), announces preliminary results for the year ended 31 March 2004.
Financial and business highlights:
*Turnover up 41% to #81.8m (2003: #58.0m)
*Profits before tax up 90% to #10.6m (2003: #5.6m)
*Final dividend of 5.5p, total of 10.00p for the full year (2003: 5.75p)
*Earnings per share of 12.2p (2003: 6.8p)
*Subscriber base increased 33% to 178,000 (2003: 134,000)
*Number of services provided increased 39% to 312,000 (2003: 225,000)
Peter Nutting, Chairman, said:
"We have now successfully transformed ourselves from an alternative supplier of fixed-line telephony services into the UK's first low-cost integrated multi-utility offering gas, electricity, fixed telephony, mobile telephony and internet services.
"We are particularly encouraged by the initial response to our introduction of the Utility Warehouse Discount Club concept during October 2003 (a refinement of the new brand we had launched a year earlier), which has led to a marked increase in the average number of services being taken by each new member.
"The combination of our unique multi-service utility proposition, the successful introduction of our new "Club" concept and the exceptional value we are providing to our customers give us great confidence in our ability to deliver sustained growth over the coming years."

WOW,,down quite a bit now..This is one of the companys that combines telecoms and energy supply so i wonder if its the oil prices which have a bearing on why our price has suffered,,especially after those great results.

just give it time, this company is going places. the margins on gas are a bit tight at present, but with the plans this co has, I am not worried.

turnover up 41% profits up 90% and still the price plunges, makes you wonder why .

Antje I feel the same and I am going to hold unless there is some "bad" news which hasn't hit the market comes out.
I don't think the Gas problem is enough to discredit this company to this degree.
It must be irritating if you are running the company unless of course you wish to buy a few more shares.

Yes ive heared talk of 220 but WHY..Ive been a distributor for 5 years now with this company and have seen it grow from very little to where we are today,,BUT i cannot understand why the drop??? I know of no bad news on the horizon only good news and good future plans..
