THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Noticed Winnies softened his stance on SEFGATE this morning. Seems to be saying its more about spin and accuracy now of RNS reports.

Pity he wasnt so forthcoming and accurate with me refering to his re-domicile in the Isle Of Man.

That bloke has one set of rules for himself and another for everyone else.

PS.........cyners is this legaly ok to state? TIA.

cynic - 26 Feb 2013 13:55 - 21873 of 81564

i'm not a lawyer lol! ..... however, you are now posting about TW rather than SER .... sounds to me that TW has had a sharp warning from his own lawyer and is now trying to back himself out of corner ..... if so, SER will want a lot more than that to drop their case, as from the quick skate-through that i had, TW didn't mince his words one little bit and nor was there any room for any misunderstanding or misinterpretation

goldfinger - 26 Feb 2013 14:03 - 21874 of 81564

Cheers cyners, so I take its ok.

Yep I got the distinct impression he had softened his approach first thing this morning. Even talking about post SEFGATE, if he loses the case.

I can recall all of Tankers' tips, but watched CNA and a bank share he tipped. They did well. Noticed that they tended to have high yields and period leading up to results or Div.

Relatively safe generally, but AV.

Generally, ignored anything like a tip from Manuel so wouldn't compare.

This is from last May - its written in Northern, so I can't understand it all :-)

Harry Ramsden's re-opens under new owners

The world's most famous fish and chip shop re-opens today after a speedy turnaround worthy of its colourful history. Portions of skinless haddock, mushy peas and the rest of it will be served again at Harry Ramsden's in Guiseley which closed less than six months ago.

cynic - 26 Feb 2013 15:08 - 21879 of 81564

unbelievable .... the icon shop shut down more than a year ago - end 2011
The first restaurant opened by the fish and chip chain Harry Ramsden's is due to close after 83 years in business.

UPDATE 1-Goldman Sachs cuts 2013, 2014 gold price forecasts

Tue Feb 26, 2013 6:30am EST
* Goldman sees gold at $1,600/oz in 2013 vs $1,810/oz

* Bank cuts 2014 price view to $1,450/oz vs $1,750/oz

* Reiterates call for turn in gold's bull cycle

By Jan Harvey

LONDON, Feb 26 (Reuters) - Goldman Sachs cut its 2013 gold price forecast to $1,600 an ounce from $1,810 an ounce, saying the metal's recent price drop and an increase in U.S. real interest rates have led it to bring forward its projections for a decline in the metal.

If that projection proves accurate, it will mark the first year gold has recorded a lower average price year-on-year since 2001, when its record-breaking 12-year bull run began.

Stan - 26 Feb 2013 16:15 - 21886 of 81564

Yes possible bounce or Goldman say price is going lower.. And "mysteriously" the price goes up -):
