Israeli Gaza conflict?????? (GAZA)

Fred1new - 06 Jan 2009 19:21

Will this increase or decrease the likelihood of terrorist actions in America, Europe and the rest of the world?

If you were a member of a family murdered in this conflict, would you be seeking revenge?

Should Tzipi Livni and Ehud Olmert, be tried for war crimes if or when this conflict comes to an end?

What will the price of oil be in 4 weeks time?

Fred1new - 13 Jan 2009 16:07 - 225 of 6906

Hilary,
I once played for a rugby team with too many Daies in it.

To make it easier for everybody to know who was been referred to various nicknames were used. Such as:

Big Dai
Little Dai
Dai Rhondda.
Dai Peg Legs
Dai Wing
Dai Fullback

In those days one of course was called Dai Black

As you can guess he

had Black Hair.

The Count - 13 Jan 2009 16:12 - 227 of 6906

--->RUTH

I think that was the funniest thing I've read on this thread.

Well, it was funnier than Gausie's 'Juice' gag anyway. :-)

Regards,

THE COUNT!

Ruth, It is your own prison cell, or placard. Not mine.

Is there something you're not telling us and which you'd like to own up to, Ruth?

hilary - 13 Jan 2009 16:36 - 231 of 6906

In my naity, Fred, I would've thought that you called him Dai Black because that was his name. What did they used to call you?

Gausie - 13 Jan 2009 16:37 - 232 of 6906

Dai skusting

Ruth - 13 Jan 2009 16:38 - 233 of 6906

Hils, your opening up a can of worms there;-)

Fred1new - 13 Jan 2009 16:54 - 235 of 6906

Gausie, at last, you have raised a smile on my face.

Ruth, As I have said before, I have four daughters (all forty plus) and two grandchildren'. When we are all together there is usually a lot of laughter and humour in the house. But, in general, we have left the schoolyard humour behind us, but still, have childlike enjoyment. The grandchildren do tell the jokes associated with their age groups. I must admit I smile when I hear them told (once again) by the age groups they belong to. It demonstrated that they have a normal pattern of growing up.

Pompously and personally I don't think that the humour you seem to enjoy, enhances the attitudes to women in general. This latter remark is my opinion and not based on much thought.

Fred1new - 13 Jan 2009 17:05 - 236 of 6906

Hilary, The team I played for at the time turned up to one game with only 14 men. After play had started there was a slight collision and one of the opponents was taken off injured. As per usual for my age, I made a flippant remark, which was "that evens it up". As I was also called Dai, you can guess what my nickname was for a while.

Gausie - 13 Jan 2009 17:55 - 237 of 6906

Dai Minic Simpson?

Fred1new - 13 Jan 2009 18:04 - 238 of 6906

Gausie, Save me sometime. Explain or tell who or what is Minic Simpson. I admit it is lost on me.

Gausie - 13 Jan 2009 18:12 - 239 of 6906

Fred - No need to wait. I'll save you right now!

I'm sure Dai Minic Simpson will be along in due course. I hear he's a rugby fan, a good friend of Dil's and a real Dai Mond Geezer.

Before we get further distracted:
Todays BBC News reports:
Palestinian medical officials say 952 people have been killed in Gaza - around a third of them children - and more than 4,200 have been injured.

Israeli troops have entered the suburbs of Gaza City and are engaged in street fighting with Palestinian militants, according to reports.
Witnesses say Israeli special forces have advanced several hundred metres into several districts and intense gunfire can be heard.
Earlier, Israeli planes attacked more targets in Gaza as its offensive against Hamas entered its 18th day.
A Gaza rights group has said more than 90,000 people have fled their homes.
