i then tried to speak to "director level" at h/o, but you're not allowed to do that
manager of customer relations (a misnomer if ever there was one) to whom one gets defaulted can and will only quote company policy back .... she could offer no logic as to why either charge

i don't and hope i won't .... though with great reluctance shall continue to use waitrose as its quality/choice is head and shoulders above the opposition

Perhaps, you should view yourself in the mirror and ponder a little.

You may realise how unpleasant and intolerant you sometimes appear.

Perhaps, you already know your own “persona” and maybe it is to your choosing.

But, for me, there is a difference between holding an opinion and trying to ram it down somebody else's throat, when they have different tastes to your own.

There is difference between challenging, arguing against, or debating an opinion difference and personally insulting, trying to diminish, or deprecating the person who differs with you.

To me this seems the approach you and Hays commonly seem to use.

Probably, you are capable of advancing your opinion more sensibly, but that is your choice.

As you can read, if I am approached, or responded to, in the manner both of you and some others choose, I can return the “compliments” with similar venom.

As far, as your attacks on the similarities between GF and myself are concerned, GF and I do seem to have knowledge gained from many experiences in common,

But I am aware¸ some of the my experiences were modified due to my father already having fought the “social” barriers and achieve a reasonably high standard of living for his family and a respect for the value and power of education. Also, he did not wish to deny his background, or depreciate it.

Again, due to my brawn, I was allowed to experience the “working life” and “social life” of many who were just as able as I was, but didn’t have my luck.

I think that I can understand some of GF’s views of the “world” and the anger of many who have different political views to your own.
