SEO showing some resilience in a bearish market. Trading pattern showing a slightly upward channel promising a positive break-out at some stage, possibly prior to or with the results.

oblomov - 01 Mar 2007 16:21 - 23764 of 27111

It's unlikely there will be be a 'positive break-out' if the results are negative.

More like a 'negative break-down'!

cynic - 01 Mar 2007 16:25 - 23765 of 27111

that said sp, is remarkably stable considering the shambles all around

Fred1new - 01 Mar 2007 16:33 - 23766 of 27111

SP couldn't get much lower anyway! I know it is a penny share but the SP looks a little ridiculous!

oblomov - 01 Mar 2007 17:25 - 23767 of 27111

I'd say ignored rather than stable.

cynic - 01 Mar 2007 17:34 - 23768 of 27111

be very thankful for small mercies then

EWRobson - 01 Mar 2007 18:31 - 23769 of 27111

What oblo doesn't realise with his 'negative break-down' is that two negatives make a positive! I only hope that his breakdown (when SEO break-out upwards) is negative!

bhunt1910 - 01 Mar 2007 23:07 - 23770 of 27111

well even with all this market chaos about at the moment - I felt confident (Stupid?) enough to take out a modest long CFD @ 1.20.

Time will tell

oblomov - 02 Mar 2007 08:54 - 23771 of 27111

What I realise Eric is that two negatives usually make a bigger bloody headache than just one! lol

greekman - 02 Mar 2007 21:34 - 23772 of 27111

Anyone else notice that SEO has disappeared from the Investors Room thread.
You can only find it via the search facility.

garyble - 02 Mar 2007 22:00 - 23773 of 27111

Not so Greek, always find it there, normally on the first page, but as we're in a new era, a dearth of posts as we frequently have nowadays, knocks it off the front page.

bhunt1910 - 04 Mar 2007 11:06 - 23774 of 27111

I would say that is good news as all the rampers and de rampers have disappeared - so ( current post excepted) most posts now starting to come from long term posters who have a decent point to discuss on this thread - a refreshing change from a couple of months back

tweenie - 04 Mar 2007 12:31 - 23775 of 27111

Bid rumours after close on Friday and over the weekend appear to have been well founded:-

LONDON (AFX) - India's Arrow Coated Products, a mid-sized packaging firm, has made a bid to buy UK-based Stanelco PLC's unit Adept Polymers, a maker of biodegradable plastics, the Economic Times reported citing sources close to the deal.

The newspaper said Adept Polymers has been valued at more than 200 mln rupees.

Arrow Coated made the bid through its UK arm Arrow Coated UK.

Arrow's managing director Shilpan Patel declined to comment on any specific deal but said the company is scouting for acquisitions abroad, the paper said.

It cited sources as saying that Stanelco is selling Adept to focus on radio frequency welding technology and that it has received bids from packaging companies in France, the US and the UK.

Good or bad thing? At least there would be no need for further fund raising for another fortnight.

greekman - 05 Mar 2007 07:15 - 23778 of 27111

So India's Arrow Coated Products are valuing SEO adept Polymers unit at 2,334,000.
It must be a joke.

kimoldfield - 05 Mar 2007 07:16 - 23779 of 27111

So SEO would be valued at 2,334,001 at present!

kimoldfield - 05 Mar 2007 07:22 - 23780 of 27111

Would institutional investors have been involved in discussions d'you think? Maybe selling Adept makes sense if there are firm offers for purchasing Greenseal, although I understood that Adept was run as a separate entity so should not really affect the concentration of SEO!

PATISEAR - 05 Mar 2007 07:31 - 23781 of 27111

Kim

Though Adept is run as a separate entity it is still burning SEO cash.
They, SEO must have some good news on Greenseal.
Looking forward and feel positive.

hewittalan6 - 05 Mar 2007 07:40 - 23782 of 27111

Interesting development, but it reads as a bit of posturing to me.
Still waiting to get that 80% back in.
