i am indeed ever-so 'umble good sir

niceonecyril - 24 Sep 2007 13:44 - 247 of 896

Just read a poorly translated script concerning IEC and the latest nonsence.
It appears that IEC are not letting it go, and are demanding a retraction
by the ministry responsible?

If schroders are buying more thats a good enough hold signal for me.

cynic - 26 Sep 2007 15:41 - 249 of 896

though rsi is starting to, look marginally toppy, sp is performimg exceptionally well .... note the bounce straight off 200 dma ...... plenty of upside, but obviously not in one leap

some minor resistance possible or even likely at 1085/1100 ..... see chart below

blanche - 26 Sep 2007 16:46 - 250 of 896

If we get through 1100 then were on are way to 1220 IMO

cynic - 27 Sep 2007 15:30 - 251 of 896

didn't even pause for breath at 1100 ...... now what? ...... either profit taking to follow or more good news; take your pick

blanche - 27 Sep 2007 18:10 - 252 of 896

Excellent performance today, providing we dont here anymore from the the ruskies in the near term i cant see any reason why this won`t continue back up to 15. IMO
Stay over weight if i was you cynic!

cynic - 27 Sep 2007 18:45 - 253 of 896

oh i am, though still know i was right to trade the other block i mentiond ..... that would have been too silly and greedy to keep holding

cynic - 28 Sep 2007 12:07 - 254 of 896

have now top-sliced 1/3 at 1123 as sp surely needs a breather after the recent rise ...... in any case, FTSE is also getting quite heady and could easily be heading for a correction, so would expect to be able to repurchase at a lower level.

i think it is very possible that sp could come back to challenge the rising 200 dma - currently 1045

blanche - 28 Sep 2007 22:57 - 255 of 896

Director buying @ 11.90 always good to see

cynic - 01 Oct 2007 11:24 - 256 of 896

below is this morning's bullish rns ..... though i accept the additional reserves are still hypothetical, it is common to see oil stocks move significantly on much less info than this!

Imperial Energy Corp PLC said it sees a potentially significant increase in the quantity of recoverable reserves from its Kiev-Eganskoye Field in the Tomsk region in Western Siberia after the 3D-seismic study conducted by independent seismic company Bashneftgeophysica.

The new 3D seismic data shows the 11 wells drilled during Soviet times, did not even penetrate the main part of the Kiev-Eganskoye structure.

The company said reinterpretation of the data from these wells, combined with the new 3D seismic results, indicate the presence of three new reservoirs not previously identified in Imperial's reserve estimations, highlighting the potential for significant increases in the quantity of recoverable reserves.

The preparation for work in the Kiev-Eganskoye field continues with both pipeline construction and commencement of drilling of several wells planned to commence on schedule this winter, the group added.

niceonecyril - 11 Oct 2007 17:30 - 257 of 896

RNS confirming another successful drilling of explo well with good results. Also
we have one more spudded 3 days later and was 200mtrs behind, so we should
expect another RNS in the very near future. Both wells are in blocks with our
pipelines in place.

today's market did not think much of that rns, but still

niceonecyril - 11 Oct 2007 22:02 - 259 of 896

cynic, i think its down to the Mitvol effect? If we can only shake it off, we will rocket.

niceonecyril - 22 Oct 2007 07:35 - 261 of 896

News i've been patiently waiting for, connection to Transneft pipeline with
production up over 33% in 6 weeks.http://www.investegate.co.uk/Article.aspx?id=200710220701180773G
Could see production up well over the 10,000bopd promised?

cynic - 22 Oct 2007 07:42 - 262 of 896

given that today will be pretty vile with few escaping the scythe, IEC could be one bright feature or if hammered with the rest of the market, may present a good buying opportunity

blanche - 22 Oct 2007 08:32 - 263 of 896

Totally agree. This is great news and a great buying opportunity!!!!!!

niceonecyril - 22 Oct 2007 08:56 - 264 of 896

A RNS correction, the date given for their own tie in facility,is Nov 2007 not 2008
as mentioned in the original report.

niceonecyril - 22 Oct 2007 09:14 - 265 of 896

To me the piece i like best refers to Maiskoye,4 horizontal wells producing 6000bopd,with a further 5 wells of which 3 are horizontal by year end. This
could increase production(expected significant increase in production) by somewhere in the region of 5000bopd, from this field alone?
Also the reserve figures of 60mmbbls C1 with 72mmbls C2 will be revised up
after extensive and successful drilling and production program in 2007,this
is since the release of the above mentioned figures.
