THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

HRH Philip was on active duty on a ship in the invasion of Sicily and is credited with certain acts of bravery.

Holidaymakers face being denied medical help or having to pay huge hospital bills because clinics in cash-strapped EU nations are refusing to treat them.

British tourists have been urged not to rely on the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), which is supposed to give all EU citizens access to state medical care in member countries.

Hundreds are being held hostage by hospitals who are rejecting the cards and demanding travel insurers cover the cost of medical care.

the uk is not in the EU only for paying in billions
our workers can not work in the eu unless they pay private health insurance
immigrants come to the uk and get it free .
it must end send them home if they do not have insurance they should not be allowed in to the uk

Haystack - 08 May 2013 18:18 - 24817 of 81564

cynic

It is going to be very difficult for Cameron to get a better deal from the EU. He might improve things, but the public are now heading for wanting a free trade area only. The UK still has the island mentality and that does not sit well with EU federalism.

After I was in Westminster this morning, I went to my friends Italian restaurant for a plate of pasta etc. It was interesting watching the news on Italian TV and discussing politics, especially the EU. There were quite few other Italian friends there for lunch. They mostly liked the idea of a United States of Europe and welcomed federalism and the Euro. I find this is quite common among Italians. This not the same with lots of other countries. The Netherlands don't like federalism. Strangely, the German people are not happy with an enlarged EU and don't like the Euro. They feel that Germany is paying for all of the EU's problems.

By the way, I also watched stage 5 of the Giro D'Italia cycle race live on Italian TV.
