Israeli Gaza conflict?????? (GAZA)

Fred1new - 06 Jan 2009 19:21

Will this increase or decrease the likelihood of terrorist actions in America, Europe and the rest of the world?

If you were a member of a family murdered in this conflict, would you be seeking revenge?

Should Tzipi Livni and Ehud Olmert, be tried for war crimes if or when this conflict comes to an end?

What will the price of oil be in 4 weeks time?

There are problems with Turkey these days. For one they are getting ever closer to Iran and Syria. I believe that at the end of last year at around November time, Turkey agreed to share intelligence on Israel with Iran. They have agreed to pass intelligence data to Iran on potential Israeli preparations for a strike and on US military movements in the Middle East for providing backup. A bit naughty as they are members of NATO!

Of course just the other day Turkey agreed to encrich 1,200 kg of its stockpile of low-enriched uranium in exchange for 120 kg of uranium enriched to a higher level. The deal fell though due to the level requested, but looks like going ahead now.

I have heard that two more ships could be leaving for Gaza within the next 48 hours.

When was NATO formed ? don't remember it at the time of Suez.

What time was Prime Ministers question time on today ?

Haystack - 02 Jun 2010 19:43 - 2486 of 6906

Nato agreement signed April 1949.

Suez created a split in NATO largely because Britain didn't tell the US what they were about to do. Some coutries suggested ejecting Britain and France from NATO. The US threatened to sell sterling bonds and cause a devaluation of the pound. The US persuaded Saudi to start an oil embargo against Britain and France. Other NATO allies also refused to sell oil to Britain or France. The results is that we caved in. Public opinion was for Egypt and we were seen as the bullies.

Prime Ministers Question was on at 3pm today later than usual. Cameron did quite well, although he is getting a free ride as Harman is a bit soft.

Hays,

Don't worry, when Cameron fails, the cons. can fall back on Clegg as PM.

Soon you will hear that a big bomb explosion somewhere in Israel killed lot of civilian inside Israel. (The Israeli CIA always used this way to cover other issues), this is for sure going to be in the coming few days and as always done by a Palestinian terrorist.

Gausie - 02 Jun 2010 22:46 - 2491 of 6906

Thanks for that comedy moment fahel. You really are a cartoon of yourself.

The rocket attacks into Israel have been running at a dozen a week for the last 12 months. Down 90% (from 120 a week) since the blockade began. There's quite enough explosions in Israel already.

Haystack - 02 Jun 2010 23:22 - 2492 of 6906

I suppose that when the Palestinians fire rockets they would use the same argument as Israel, that they were just defending themselves. The area that is being settled is their land so in that case they are defending it.

Gausie - 02 Jun 2010 23:31 - 2493 of 6906

Haystack

They might try to claim that they were just defending themselves; that they are firing rockets at civilians because if they don't they'll surely and immediately die at the hands of those civilians. But only a complete fool would buy it. Or propose it.

You're keen on telling us that you have a son who got into a very good school. Is he adopted? Or is his mother exceptionally bright?

Clubman3509 - 03 Jun 2010 08:15 - 2494 of 6906

Isreal needs to be taught a lesson over their terrorist act. Make them pay for what they have done. String up that arrogent Prime Minister for starters

cynic - 03 Jun 2010 08:27 - 2495 of 6906

unfortunately, not all the hotheads and lunatics are confined to m/e

Camelot - 03 Jun 2010 08:28 - 2496 of 6906

hardly terrorist act

just Customs and Excise doing their job

stop and search

cynic - 03 Jun 2010 08:30 - 2497 of 6906

used to be called the Sus Law!

Gausie - 03 Jun 2010 10:11 - 2498 of 6906

Clubman - "Isreal", "arrogent"?

Why do all of the hotheads, radicals, racists and opinionated lunatics have such difficulties spelling simple words?

cynic - 03 Jun 2010 10:19 - 2499 of 6906

get "real", get "arrogent"! .... i always though it was "get carter"
perhaps as i am none of the "hotheads, radicals, racists and opinionated lunatics", so thus i can spell!

mnamreh - 03 Jun 2010 10:36 - 2500 of 6906

cynic - 03 Jun 2010 10:41 - 2501 of 6906

i never have, or else you'ld hear just a death rattle ..... btw, steady on the intolerance platform, as the lunatics and hotheads of both parties are as bad and rabid as each other in their own ways
