Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Hil,

The news should now be fine - although there is a story at the top which should not be there all the news underneath is displaying correctly - we are looking into the issue with the top news story.

Thanks

Ian

Ian

An improvement opportunity, possibly. Would it be possible to get the NEWS flag on the stockwatch to show new News when it is available.
The present flag only states that there is News not how many or if it is new.

Paul,

We agree that this would be a good idea, but unfortunately at the moment we are unable to put in place a solution for this - if we can find a way to work around this, then I will let you know.

News has gone all wonky again, Ian.

edit: It's back again.

:o)

Hil,

I will keep an eye on this, and report it to JT if it goes strange again.

Thanks

The trade screen is showing odd Buys and sells totals.

Unable to move from stockwatch screen to news story page. Using N on Stockwatch screen BPRG MAO ? more

Renewals of pages on portfolio becoming slower it always was slow but seems to be increasingly so.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 14 Sep 2004 09:53 - 2494 of 7315

Fred,

Can you give me an example stock to look into on the trades page?

With regard to the moving from stockwatch using the news flag - do you have any kind of firewall installed?

The portfolio system has to do a lot of calculations to bring up the figures, JT is looking at doing some work after hours that should improve general speed on the site but I will also pass this comment onto him.

Thanks

Ian

Fred1new - 14 Sep 2004 10:36 - 2495 of 7315

BPRG is one. Some figures have been corrected but total buys, sells and unknowns does not coincide with Cum Volume on Stock watch page.

I couldn't move from MAO on Stockwatch page to news on MAO. But could go into News directly and then find MAO. Although I had no problems with HSX. Very odd. Had this problem fo a few days.

I have Antvir Popup stopper and SPybot running. But these have been on my machine for yonks and have in the past not had any problems.

Did have a clean out with Spybot but I am use to having to reload cookies etc. without problems in the past.

Sorryyyyyyyyy. No urgency, can usually find a way around, even if I don't know what I am doing!!!!!!!!!!!

Fred,

I will pass this information onto the tech guys.

Maggot - 15 Sep 2004 10:11 - 2497 of 7315

Ian. I have the 'Cell Flash Background (order deleted)' as brown (the default colour) on my Level 2. But I haven't had any brown flashes for days denoting an order taken out either by withdrawing or by being filled - they all come up as blue, as per the Order Inserted/Updated. Am I doing something wrong? Or is there a fault somewhere?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 15 Sep 2004 10:14 - 2498 of 7315

Maggot,

I will take a look at this and see if I can replicate the problem.

Ian, thanks for your reply 2471 re search facility. Looking forward excitedly :-)

Maggot - 16 Sep 2004 16:06 - 2500 of 7315

IanT - any luck with checking whether the 'Cell Flash Background (Order Deleted)' is working? I've tried altering the colour and it still comes up blue. Not a big problem, but a little confusing.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 16 Sep 2004 16:12 - 2501 of 7315

Maggot,

I have monitored mine and have not been able to reproduce the problem, but I have filed a bug report so I will let you know what that turns up.

IanT
There is a bit of a cock-up on the site map page. If you select this option from the top bar, then select Terminal from that screen to see a demo view, you are taken straight to Shares Mag.
Be a sport and give me a trial for Terminal for being so helpful........grin.

SC :-)

I will get the guys to take a look and get this amended.

Thanks for pointing this out,

Ian

Maggot - 21 Sep 2004 19:05 - 2505 of 7315

Ian. Yesterday XTA on Stockwatch at close showed a mid price of 860, which was wrong; today it shows 887.50, with Level 2 showing 870/876.

edit. Also checked AAL - Level 2 shows 1307/1308 and stockwatch shows 1344. Perhaps there are more - but I'm going to have some tea now!

maddoctor - 21 Sep 2004 20:53 - 2506 of 7315

IanT , could you please explain once again exactly what you are using for the closing price - noticed as Maggot aal but bsy also showing a funny number 525 and there may be others.

and we are still plotting weekends on the candle charts - as I requested please can they be removed

and I have just tried to pull up the charts for aal and bsy and there is nothing there

and I'm having a whinge because I need good data!
