THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Lord Mandelson has attacked Ed Miliband's attempt to rebrand Labour as the "One Nation" party.

Asked if it was a sufficiently robust platform to win the next election, the Labour peer said: "Well, patently not."

He said Labour had to show it was willing to make "tough" spending decisions, otherwise ex-Tory voters "will find it very difficult to vote Labour".

Lord Mandelson also attacked Mr Miliband's claim that Labour had made it easier for people from working class backgrounds to be selected as candidates, saying it was wrong to conflate working class candidates with trade union officials.

He said "too many" selections for European of Westminster parliament candidates were being put in the hands of "one union at worst, a couple of unions at best, orchestrated by a cabal of NEC members."

these are crimes that are real and affect ever family

cynic - 15 May 2013 12:27 - 25006 of 81564

most people, other than village idiot, are well aware that this type of abuse is spread across all races and ethnic groups and of course, many if not most will be uk citizens and even born here

so to where will you deport that very large group?
to the isle of wight perhaps?

because of is crimes they stated that is were is parents came from and just put him on a plane to the uk we should do the same

but all the posters new you would try and protect them what kind of person are you

Fred1new - 15 May 2013 12:50 - 25009 of 81564

It is good to see the Captain ducking and diving outside the country, seeking trade and advertising the EU and begging for a partnership, while his own crew is doing all it can to sink the boat.

But the UK is alright, all right, and there is life guard Nigel waiting in the light-house to come to his rescue and direct him to the rocks.

========

Mind, just heard some are suggesting Teresa could whip the tories right wing into loyal submission behind her.

Haystack - 15 May 2013 12:50 - 25010 of 81564

It is not a question of protecting them. We just don't have legislation to deport people who were born in the UK. There is is also no chance that we would ever pass such laws.

TANKER - 15 May 2013 13:00 - 25011 of 81564

why not
spain france aus Portugal Germany .usa Canada ignore the rights of criminals
this is why we are all turning to UKIP
we are fade up of the do gooders they should be made to put them up in their homes that would shut them up

human rights must be ditched

TANKER - 15 May 2013 13:01 - 25012 of 81564

when the law can not protect CHILDREN from Asian gangs then the law is worthless

cynic - 15 May 2013 13:10 - 25013 of 81564

what about protecting them from white uk citizens?
what's your smartarse solution now?

i wonder if you talk any more sense if you're ever sober, or is this all in your genes?
if so, you should be deported from where that indicates you originated

Haystack - 15 May 2013 13:27 - 25014 of 81564

The guy deported to the UK from Australia was born in the UK and had lived in Australia for 41 years. He was not born in Australia.

cynic - 15 May 2013 13:35 - 25015 of 81564

hays - where's the story to be found, so i can read it? ..... was he naturalised oz citizen?

Stan - 15 May 2013 13:37 - 25017 of 81564

If I've told you once I've told you a dozen times cynic.. get back to work -):

cynic - 15 May 2013 13:46 - 25018 of 81564

morning stan ... just tucking into my kosher ham sarnie :-)

a synopsis of the deportation story ....

Clifford Tucker, 47, has been expelled after the Australian government cancelled his visa over a series of crimes, including attempted murder ........ His family emigrated when he was six but he never became a citizen ......... As a teenager, Tucker was jailed for 12 years for shooting and seriously wounding a police officer. Speaking to the Australian newspaper before he was deported, he said: "I'm not a career criminal, I haven't committed any crimes since 1999 other than a minor assault"

=============

so he was born in 1966 and thus ceased being a teenager in 1986 but hasn't committed any (serious) crimes since 1999, so he's not a career criminal!

stable - 15 May 2013 14:05 - 25019 of 81564

This s not the only one to have been been 'returned'. A few years ago they did have a nast sex offender, who after his sentence was sent back to us for safe keeping
I cannot remember further details.

cynic - 15 May 2013 14:16 - 25020 of 81564

i was just curious to read the story first hand ..... i wonder if uk law allows similar deportation to the likes of say oz or canada

Haystack - 15 May 2013 14:23 - 25021 of 81564

Human rights law in the UK would stop it because he had a family. It is about the human rights aspect of a right to a family life. It has stopped similar deportations. The EU at work again.

cynic - 15 May 2013 14:53 - 25022 of 81564

i'm sure you're right and certainly oz is pretty tough - hard-nosed if you prefer ..... remember the vietnamese boat people?
