It is with deep regret I have to inform everyone that Dave Anderson(Crocodile) sadly passed away last night in his sleep.


This is a complete shock to all his family and friends, therefore can I ask everyone to respect their privacy and not phone his home etc.


David was the most likable and open person I have ever met and a huge friend of mine and MoneyAMs.

Whatever I post will never come near doing justice to this great man, so I will simply stop here.

20.13 I have had a few brief conversations with David's family today. Despite all that has happened they have managed to briefly log onto MoneyAm and seen the numerous postings. I know they are moved by the response. The family are in the process of organising David's funeral but matters are slightly complicated with the Bank Holiday weekend. I will post more in due course when I have some more information.

26 May :I have received many many e-mails with offers of help and offers of sympathy. Many thanks for all these and apologises if I have not been able to reply but I will get round to it. I will also make sure those that have asked me to pass on any messages to Davids family get sent on.

In the meantime I know many of you are wondering what happened. At this stage it is not for me to go into details but suffice to say it is of a natural cause and totally unexpected.

David had withdrawn a little from the site over the last few weeks as he felt he wanted to devote more time to looking after Maria who is very poorly. Although he did not post much in the day I do know he was constantly logging on. He still continued to burn the midnight oil to create each day traders thread and he would spend about 15 hours each weekend creating the Weekend/Monday thread.

16.34 26/May Have come off the phone from Rachel(David's daughter). Today is not an easy day for the family, I think they were so busy yesterday that today has been harder as it has had time to sink in. We talked about Funeral arrangements and Rachel mentioned that they could not book anything yet but will let me know as soon as possible. She mentioned once again about all the postings which they have been busy reading and thank everyone for all the kind words and thoughts. They will arrange a public funeral as they know a lot of people would like to attend.

Funeral Arrangements


David's Funeral service will be held at St Benedict Biscop Church, Wombourne MAP on Friday the 4th of June at 1pm, followed by burial at Gornal Wood Cemetery. MAP

There will be a wake afterwards at The Vine Public House Wombourne (this is a few doors down from the church above). Friends old & new are most welcome.

It really seems like only yesterday, rather than yesterday 7 years ago. My memories of David are so clear.

The first time I met you Mega was at David's, the week before.

Another year, I wonder what David would have made of todays markets !

I'm sure he would be impressed by one of his favourite shares WOS!

Been eight years now. A silent thanks to David for the inspiration he was.

Is it that long? Still fondly remembered and missed by many here.

We remember him with some fond memories and cannot believe it was 8 years ago he left us. So sadly missed.

I can't believe that 8 years have gone passed, he is often mentioned in conversation

I still remember one of his favourite stories about when he was running his Crocodile computer business.

David was daytrading behind the counter when a customer came in for a graphics card or something similar. Several brands were on offer and the guy cud not make his mind up which one to buy and kept on and on with questions. Meanwhile Daves trades were going ballistic and, to get rid of the guy he said he said he cud have the card for nothing.
The guy still would not leave because he wanted to know what the"Catch" was.

Bobcolby, very interesting! Would be nice if others can recall similar stories about David. He was certainly a very generous man.

Bobcolby,i remember hearing the same story when i visited his house a few times,David was one of lifes real gents.

I never met him but read his article on bot trades all those years ago , 8 year's was it doesn't seem more then 4 , he must have been lovely man for you to remember him like this all those years ago.

And nearly another year goes by, certain things make me remember David, today I had one of those thoughts and remembered its nearly the 9 years since David death.

I will enjoy a glass of wine in his memory later.

Sure wish he were still here with us. I guess in a way, he certainly is.

Incredible how much time has passed and yet how fresh he still is in peoples minds. He certainly was a one off.

Was never a trader but the times he fixed my pc over the internet you wouldn't believe.

Whenever I think of him it brings a smile to my face and the words " kicking it won't fix it".
