THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Whatever is not the accepted word but whatever one can dream. I look back now as Clint Eastwood gets older and wonder why did I have a hot spot for him but many could say the same about me - ageing a difficult process. Pierce Brosnan is a different kettle of fish to the ageing woman. ho ho ho!!!!!

Haystack - 07 Jun 2013 21:12 - 25900 of 81564

Maybe as a toy boy. Mind you, he is 60.

3 monkies - 07 Jun 2013 21:17 - 25901 of 81564

Ha! Ha! Bloody Ha! Prefer a good nights sleep. That is what comes with old age - NOT.

Haystack - 07 Jun 2013 21:21 - 25902 of 81564

The best sleep is the sleep of the just, except the sleep of the just after!

3 monkies - 07 Jun 2013 21:25 - 25903 of 81564

Cannot wait to meet Just. After or before!!!!! Seriously only joking Ian from Money a.m. A laugh is a laugh and good to be alive.

dreamcatcher - 07 Jun 2013 22:27 - 25907 of 81564

How many gts have you consumed 3m? lol

Balerboy - 07 Jun 2013 23:06 - 25908 of 81564

3m i think all you got to do is this. along side the search box where it says BING SEARCH will be the button to search the internet, along side that is a drop down arrow button, click this and you get a list of search engines loaded on your comp. Right click on google and tick to make default. plus you can right click on bing and any others in the list and delete them. The loss of halifax site and others, depends on if you had them as TABS along side your home page of msn, or they were in your favourites FOLDER in the list under the favourites button, in which case they would be displayed in a line under the address bar and above the tabs. Or it could be on your google tool bar, either way go to tools button and drop down to TOOLBARS and put a tick in either or both favourites bar or google bar and they will appear at the top of your screen. this sounds most likeky as you would have to add the halifax site to your home page as another tab which i don't think is your case. hope this helps. DC MAY I ADD it is the anniversary of My Mums death - she passed away 20 DAYS before my 40th great not. Been to bed and up again and not consumed that much - I would imagine another night of disturbance . Life goes on and shall make a visitation tomorrow to say hello not that she or the 3 of them who passed away 3 years between them will answer me. Father, Mother and Husband. I think I am entitled to have a few glasses of wine this evening. I lost them all within 3yrs. Great not. Nursed them with
cancer etc. sorry Father had emphasemia.

baleryboyI shall try your above suggestion tomorrow and thank you.

cynic - 08 Jun 2013 08:11 - 25914 of 81564

ARK CANCER CHARITY
that link above tells bugger all ..... if this sort of charity has appeal, then better to go to Myrrdin Rees is the key guy, as below ......

Mr Myrddin (Merv) Rees - Hepatobiliary Director, and a Consultant Hepatobiliary Surgeon at the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital (BNHFT) since 1986. Mr Rees has established a liver surgery unit at Basingstoke which is recognised worldwide for its expertise.

Mr Rees is a past President of AUGIS (Association of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeons) serving from 2006-2008. Since 1995 Mr Rees has led the ARK fundraising appeal. His relentless passion and determination drove the realisation of this £5 million Centre, which houses the Pelican Cancer Foundation.

even the above underplays the world-leading work MR's team carries out, especially with regard to liver cancer
