BAYLIS - 13 Mar 2008 11:41 - 26155 of 27111

Stanelco Bioplastic is manufactured by its 50% owned subsidiary Biotec GMbH at Emmerich in Germany.

Stanelco's partner in bioplastic is Sphere S.A. of Paris, France, they also own 50% of Biotec GMbH.

The group are developing and producing a new generation of completely biodegradable and compostable bioplastic materials, based on renewable raw materials such as potato and corn starch.

No quick bucks here, unless you brought at .02p and sold out already.
Don't expect anything from PM on Friday other that similar to SPhere.
Roll on 2010.

looks like a lot of punters are getting burnt/cold feet.
As they say DYOR.
welcome to the cULT of SEO.

I think there is a spelling mistake in the final sentence of your post, tweenie!

Micky468 "Hampshire could lead the way in environmentally friendly carrier bags" Surely SEO haven't been doing a bit of self promotion?!!
Thanks for posting the URL. Interesting. But let's be realistic, surely SEO don't have the ability to be behind the article, do they?! Yes/No answers on a postcard.

jimward9 - 13 Mar 2008 15:22 - 26160 of 27111

anyone know where the uk factory is?

Sphere Group manufactures biodegradable carrier bags, bin liners and refuse bags, packaged as attractive consumer goods, at its factories in France, the UK !!!

kimoldfield - 13 Mar 2008 15:40 - 26161 of 27111

Jimward9. I think it may be Alfaplas in Hereford.

micky468 - 13 Mar 2008 16:04 - 26162 of 27111

Took out a small punt again towards end of day....This is the second time in the last week that I've done this...came out first time with a profit....I must be mad...the only thing is if it does go down I will not lose too much !

hewittalan6 - 13 Mar 2008 16:59 - 26164 of 27111

Faites vos jeux...rien ne va plus ! all shall be revealed tomorrow morning,,,and you never know..perhaps they will have made at long last some serious progress...miracles sometimes do happen !

I'm a red eyes chinaman.

chopsticks at the ready, though I doubt I'll need them.

garyble - 13 Mar 2008 21:32 - 26168 of 27111

Nothing we don't already know in the results. Positive outlook of no use to the long suffering. SP plummets by 25%-50%.

I AM MENTALLY PREPARED!

required field - 14 Mar 2008 07:52 - 26169 of 27111

Well...! quickly reading through the RNS suggests : better times ahead...a mention of future profitability...interesting....big cash pile.....court decisions a long way off...at a guess I,d say a better RNS than usual...not so much doom and gloom...we shall have to see how the market reacts to this...if this company gets this right this year you could see it above 2p I think...

hewittalan6 - 14 Mar 2008 07:55 - 26170 of 27111

Every RNS has read like a rat expecting cheese just around the next corner, but while the world has been full of corners it has been entirely innocent of cheese.
That was the last management. Is this one different?

kimoldfield - 14 Mar 2008 07:57 - 26171 of 27111

Not much jam tomorrow, probably a bit of cheese though.

required field - 14 Mar 2008 08:11 - 26172 of 27111

Ouch ! my bet has not worked dropping like a stone !

dawall - 14 Mar 2008 08:17 - 26173 of 27111

I would say this looks a lot more positive than past statements from Stanelco but more to the point if true the business seems very controlled and focused now versus previous management.
Not sure why sp is 20% down though, I don't know what people were really expecting, some profit perhaps?

This statement certainly doesn't look like that of a business that is going tits up although a bit more time is probably needed. I hope the mms can push this down to 0.3-0.4 so I can load up with more and bring my average down further. Anyone else who is in at a much higher price would be crazy not to now do the same.

required field - 14 Mar 2008 08:23 - 26174 of 27111

At the moment ..no it is not going to go bust !
