Israeli Gaza conflict?????? (GAZA)

Fred1new - 06 Jan 2009 19:21

Will this increase or decrease the likelihood of terrorist actions in America, Europe and the rest of the world?

If you were a member of a family murdered in this conflict, would you be seeking revenge?

Should Tzipi Livni and Ehud Olmert, be tried for war crimes if or when this conflict comes to an end?

What will the price of oil be in 4 weeks time?

Good post cynic .

(Protocols of the Elders of Zion ... raises eyebrows ... now this thread really is sinking into the abyss )

cynic - 06 Jun 2010 16:59 - 2639 of 6906

a compliment??????????
i swoon

MightyMicro - 06 Jun 2010 19:27 - 2640 of 6906

I understand that the aid supplies unloaded at Ahsdod are still sitting in warehouses at the Gaza crossing as Hamas won't let anyone collect the stuff.

Camelot - 06 Jun 2010 19:36 - 2641 of 6906

that's typical

if you want to know all about hamas , just follow the money

Fred1new - 06 Jun 2010 19:50 - 2642 of 6906

Cynic,

In the present mess, where do the Friends of Israel come into the frame.

In that we are now entering a period of "open national and local government expenses" can we see the books of the above groups.

Are they buying favours in USA and this country?

And at what price.

Is this a form of corruption of political judgement?

Just questions?

Fred1new - 06 Jun 2010 19:56 - 2643 of 6906

PS.

I thought Obama had escaped the restraints of the Jewish lobby of political financing, by the way he financed his election, perhaps I am wrong.

Haystack - 06 Jun 2010 20:03 - 2644 of 6906

This is the reason Hamas haven't taken the goods from the flotilla. It is because Israel have not freed all the people on the ships. It was announced two days ago.

04/06/2010 - 02:50 PM

"Ismail Haneyya, the Prime Minster of Palestinian elected government in Gaza, said on Friday that the Israeli occupation's strategy of besieging the Gaza Strip failed because of the resilience of the Palestinian people and the conscience of free people around the world, stressing that his government will not receive any of the aid that was on the Freedom Flotilla until all hostages from the flotilla were freed."

cynic - 06 Jun 2010 20:36 - 2645 of 6906

ah - so hamas just want to play political games and have no genuine interest in the plight of the gaza populace ... now there's a surprise! .... all that brings us back to my initial observation which, in brief is "fuck the palestinians; let's just use them as political pawns" ..... they are all totally disgusting and lower than a snake's belly

i look forward with interest to Gulf Times view on this in the morning

Haystack - 06 Jun 2010 21:59 - 2646 of 6906

I don't think expecting all the people to be released who were on the ship is playing games. They don't want Israel to be able to make political capital out of this by being able to say they have released all the aid on the ships, especially when they have not released the construction materials on the ships for instance.

There are another ten sea convoys planned over the next few weeks.

A passenger from Greece who was on board the Freedom Flotilla which carried aid to the Gaza, accused Israel's naval forces of killing one Turkish citizen for broadcasting images of the attacks on the Internet.

Demetre Plionis told a Greek newspaper, "A half hour after the attack, despite electronic warfare, the "Mavi Marmara" ship continued to broadcast images on the internet thanks to a sophisticated system run by a Turkish volunteer. Then, I saw him dead after he was shot in the head."

Plionis, who was one of the Greek citizens aboard the Turkish vessel, said, "Israel's priority was to stop scenes of the attack from being broadcasted". He recalled that the Turkish activists spread almost a hundred cameras on the ship which transmitted images systematically. "The broadcast was discontinued when the person who was running the network was killed," he added.

Plionis said that he resorted to the ship's media center at the request of the Turkish captain when the attack took place, and that after the commandos took over the ship, they "beat reporters and smashed every last camera, computer, and telephone".

All 37 Greek nationals who participated in the aid operation spoke of the ill-treatment they experienced during the attack, and the time they spent in Israel's custody.

Haystack - 06 Jun 2010 22:02 - 2647 of 6906

The Swedish port workers union announced on Friday it would boycott Israeli ships and cargoes in protest at the massacre committed last week against Freedom Flotilla activists.

According to a statement, the union will not handle Israeli cargoes arriving in Swedish ports.

The union ordered workers not to deal with Israeli incoming or outgoing ships or any Israeli goods or cargoes.

It also urged other unions all over the world to follow suit in order to force Israel to respect international law and end its blockade on Gaza.

So as soon as these broadcasts from almost 100 cameras surface there will be clarity as to how the violence kicked off. I wonder why they haven't been produced?

Snowman - 06 Jun 2010 23:26 - 2649 of 6906

Just shown on BBC are pics of Israeli soldiers beaten and their weapons taken .

I am all in favour of aid and the Irish effort was dignified ... this was not .

Haystack - 07 Jun 2010 00:54 - 2650 of 6906

G
"and smashed every last camera". They also took all the mobile phones and have stolen 31 of their passports.

How come so many of the turkish dead were shot in the back and in the head? One Israeli commando killed 6 of the 9 dead. I don't believe any of the story from the commandos.

Snowman - 07 Jun 2010 06:06 - 2651 of 6906

Why did they attack the commando`s ?

To be fair both sides are hiding ... The israeli film stops before the shooting starts .

But , if the idea was to deliver aid , or at least try , attacking the soldiers doesnt seem sensible ... and the film available clearly shows they did .

Fred1new - 07 Jun 2010 09:01 - 2652 of 6906

Snowman,

The people on the first Armarda were in International Waters and were invaded by a group of commandos.

They have a right to resist being taken over and have their equipment destroy or confiscated.

The majority of people would consider resistance if their property is invaded, although, it may be foolish.

Again, the action shows the arrogant misuse of disproportionate force, which the Israelis are prepared to use and with a complete disregard of the lives of other groups.

Israel should be ashamed of itself and the Israelis ashamed that it supports the present administration.

Gausie - 07 Jun 2010 09:30 - 2653 of 6906

Too right Fred - the commandos being clubbed to death should have meekly turned the other cheek. That's what a properly trained commando from a country that doesn't show the arrogant misuse of disproportionate force, ... with a complete disregard of the lives of other groups would have done. Right?

yuff - 07 Jun 2010 10:42 - 2654 of 6906

I have just witnessed a video of containers of ais being unloaded in Ashdod-Behind bags of flour or sugar are boxes and boxes of weapons-unbelievable. I will try to post the link. The boarding and seizure was totally justified.

Fahel-what can I say?

yuff - 07 Jun 2010 10:43 - 2655 of 6906

Have patience with this video. First there is a commercial for Pantene! But
wait until it's over. You

Won't believe your eyes.
