SEO is flying.

Was this the report which started it:

Stanelco boss optimistic about future growth

Jill Park, packagingnews.co.uk, 27 February 2009

Bioplastics specialist Stanelco is predicting "good growth" in the sector as it enters a period of stability with a new management team.

Paul Mines exclusively told Packaging News that he did not expect "an explosion" in the bioplastics market, but rather "good growth" in markets where there can be "real benefits" of using bioplastics.

Mines identified multi-layer flexible films for food preservation and extrusion coatings for paper and card as Stanelco's two main growth markets.

However, he was realistic about the uptake of bioplastics by the supermarkets, admitting that they are still at the "toe in the water" stage where they use bioplastics for specific products.

Mines recognised the end of life issue as a major concern for the UK market as only a small percentage of councils have means to dispose of biopolymers at present.

Consequently, he was keen to highlight new legislation that would mean councils will be forced to provide anaerobic digestion facilities by 2010, thus providing the much-desired outlet for bioplastics.

He also addressed the issue of availability of raw materials when he said that the company has reduced its dependence on one single raw material.

"As volumes are increasing, a lot of customers are looking for forward price certainty," he added.

Chairman John Standen joined Stanelco at the same time as Mines in 2007, following the departure of Martin Wagner in April 2007.

Paul Law and Neil Martin have been appointed as managing director of the Bioplastics division and general manager of the Radio Frequency division respectively.

Financial director Sue Bygrave joined the team in January, completing the new management structure.

A US sales office was established in 2008 and in the past three months material has started being exported to China to be converted into products destined for the European market.

Going forward, "functional product improvement" is the company's main focus said Mines, followed by "working with customers to take that into the market".

Also, the company can now offer a bioplastic capable of withstanding up to 95 degrees centigrade, which opens up new market opportunities and a company is already in the final stages of commercial development of a pack made from the material.

Stanelco will publish its preliminary results on 26 March 2009.

Anyone assist.

I often used to check SEO trades on Plus Markets. It appears they now only show the last 5 trades. I am trying to find the days volume traded on Plus. You could get the info on the old site, but since they re-vamped it I cant find out how.

Sorry to go of thread.

Fred1new - 20 Mar 2009 16:21 - 26812 of 27111

From Sharescope Trading volume above 11million sharess. Peanuts except that it is as expected rising volumes. Buys to sells 5/3

greekman - 20 Mar 2009 16:47 - 26813 of 27111

Fred,

It is those trades on the Plus Markets I was after. The 11 mill was not counting those.
These days about a third of the total trades on via the Plus Market.

But Thanks anyway.

blanche - 20 Mar 2009 17:05 - 26814 of 27111

Over 50 million shares traded today on plus

greekman - 20 Mar 2009 17:07 - 26815 of 27111

Thanks Blanche,

But how do you find the total on Plus Markets.
(A bit technophobic, so it's probably easy, if you know how)

blanche - 20 Mar 2009 17:10 - 26816 of 27111

I've been away sulking for about 18 months. Nice to see some familiar names still here; and still the whiff of Greenseal technology hangs in the air !

We can only hope.

As someone said earlier, only need another 800% rise and I might break even.

maggiebt4 - 20 Mar 2009 21:16 - 26818 of 27111

Live in hope! Despair's depressing and the fat lady's not on stage yet :-)

Fred1new - 20 Mar 2009 22:58 - 26819 of 27111

If it goes up 800% I will pay the national debt off.

Until the results are out I can't pee or walk.
Everything is crossed!

tweenie - 21 Mar 2009 07:43 - 26820 of 27111

up early for the football.
Down to fulham.

God I hope this is'nt another false dawn re seo.
NOBODY mention GREENSEAL ever again.....pleeeeeeaaaaassssssse.
Just one decent deal re the tubes and 2p is a distinct possibility.
It's a bizarre state of affairs when SEO is my best performing share by a mile.
good luck all.

I don't think I could mentally handle another jam tommorrow results RNS.

greekman - 22 Mar 2009 15:39 - 26821 of 27111

Thanks again Blanche,

Will try it again, but it only appears to give me the last 5 trades.

garyble - 22 Mar 2009 22:02 - 26822 of 27111
