sounds like more bubble wrap to us!

Fred1new - 17 Feb 2010 18:01 - 26990 of 27111

What is the profit margin on bubble wrap?

bristlelad - 17 Feb 2010 18:04 - 26991 of 27111

0.5p per 100 mtrs???????????

greekman - 17 Feb 2010 18:18 - 26992 of 27111

On the surface this new high temp BioPlastic looks excellent, but so did the news years ago re tray moulding and Asda, and we all know what happened there.
So like required field, I 'need to be convinced', so although very dubious because of many false dawns, I wont knock it either.
One thing I am certain about, I won't be rushing to buy any more shares. Too risky.

Fred1new - 17 Feb 2010 18:50 - 26993 of 27111

They could make plastic truncheon with the plastic.

Greek, you must have some contacts to help them.

greekman - 18 Feb 2010 07:50 - 26994 of 27111

Fred,

Never thought of that use. Trouble is it might biodegrade whilst you are just about to use it.
But on a serious note....In the past whenever such innovations come into the market, the possible uses often are multiplied many times over. Lets just hope the product gets the market effect that previous Stanelco innovations never got.
As someone else pointed out, the main problem with SEO has never been the product, (although they never have appeared to turn out as good as promised) it has always been promotion of sales.

Fred1new - 18 Feb 2010 09:50 - 26995 of 27111

Agreed, it is getting an initial market.

Massive rise in seo today, if it carries on like this I will be able to retire in 274 years 5 months and 26 days, give or take a century.

;-)

greekman - 11 Mar 2010 09:35 - 26997 of 27111

Apologise in advance, but I am a bit like Dr. John "J.D." Dorian (for those who are Scrubs fans) he who has very weird thoughts just pop into his head.

Usually I make fairly sensible comments on this thread but have to say that I am now a pensioner who still gets more risers than SEO, and guess who stays up longer.

If there was anything worthwhile posting re SEO I would do honest.

watcher - 11 Mar 2010 12:40 - 26998 of 27111

glad to see your keeping the faith here G....nothing on the horizon to boost confidence that the 'risers' will persist....unlike your pension

Balerboy - 11 Mar 2010 18:50 - 26999 of 27111

be glad they're still trading, least we got a chance that way... wonder if i have more faith in these than DES sometimes..

required field - 30 Mar 2010 09:45 - 27000 of 27111

I was just thinking......not much going on here...but what would happen if there was a second positive rns update in a row ?...would the sp double to over half a penny ?....quite possibly !.....just spotted that this is blog number 27000...phew !...

watcher - 30 Mar 2010 10:18 - 27001 of 27111

27001 now.......;-)......keeping the faith......still collecting in small amounts at this price

Fred1new - 30 Mar 2010 11:19 - 27002 of 27111

Watcher,

I do hope you are right.

watcher - 30 Mar 2010 11:46 - 27003 of 27111

well it seems the bad news is grinding to a halt....and if they get through this year...my positive thinking is creeping up will occur in the spring....2011...after england have won the world cup.....rooney the golden boot and i am in a bigger house....and my final wish is my golf handicap is in single figures.....loads to cheer me up hey....

required field - 30 Mar 2010 11:48 - 27004 of 27111

I'm thinking more in the terms that a second good update will revive the sp...not sure about long term prospects for this, but short term : an upsurge to three quarters of a penny could be very much on the cards.

greekman - 29 Apr 2010 07:22 - 27005 of 27111

Results.

Excellent group revenues up, Biome Bioplastics increased its revenues by 30%, Biotec by 23% and RF Applications by 23%.
YET, Loss from operations reduced to 2.6m (2008: loss 2.8m). So only a reduction of .2 million. OK as we know there was a 0.7m of additional legal costs, but this must go to show that the management are not managing very well and are not controlling cash flow as they should. With the increased revenue, the operating figures should be much better. And yet again another fund raising in the offing. I have no problem with such fund raising 'if' the reasons are quantified, but who is going to trust this management with more of their cash.
Until the operating figures show that more of the increase in revenue are retained and show in the results, I will not be throwing good money after bad.

cynic - 29 Apr 2010 07:26 - 27006 of 27111

you already have by not selling out many moons/years ago

required field - 29 Apr 2010 08:36 - 27007 of 27111

Another fund raising : you have to be joking, .....thought they would have done better than this.

Fred1new - 29 Apr 2010 10:17 - 27008 of 27111

Not the results I hoped for.

Taking longer than expected to move into the black, but at least they are surviving.
