THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Don't speak mobile either.

But, why are you asking?

Your comrades seem to be tying themselves in knots over Syria.

Perhaps, they should ask Akela or Rudyard.

---------------

Trying to be sensible, I think the proposal that was presented to the HP should have been modified, but the decisions after further review returned for further consideration.

I understand the difficulties in the "present time" with "change of Syrian regime" but that is what it is about and should be stated bluntly and I think done.

HOW ?

Everybody does diplomacy with leaders of all countries whether they are pleasant or not. There are plenty of pictures of leaders with most dictators.

Hays,

Was that an attempt to divert the party faithful (the old blue rinses) from the Moron's cockup.

Swallow any pride you have and admit his failure.

I have read the story previously. It has been all over the internet for a couple of days. The article was written by two people. The main writer who is more well known did not speak to anyone involved in the story. The article is all based on what the second writer has to say. He does not have a serious reporting profile and has only reported local led in Jordan. It looks like misinformation but who knows. It is possible that the rebels may have used chemical weapons as well.

Years ago, the average UK family lived in one room in rural areas. They lived upstairs with their animals in the room below. It is the way that most people in the wold lived a few hundred years ago. Parts of India, Pakistan, Africa, far east still live that way. Many countries are at the same stage of development as developed countries were many years ago. The level of education, superstition, religious adherence is the cause of most of the ills in the world now.

(CNN) — U.S. plans for strikes against Syria may be coupled with increased support for rebel forces in that country's civil war, two leading Republican senators said after meeting with President Barack Obama on Monday.

Obama met in the Oval Office with Sens. John McCain, and Sen. Lindsey Graham, both members of the Senate Armed Services Committee, the White House said. After the meeting, McCain and Graham said the United States needs to help the rebels reverse battlefield gains by troops loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

"We still have significant concerns, but we believe there is in formulation a strategy to upgrade the capabilities of the Free Syrian Army and to degrade the capabilities of Bashar al-Assad," said McCain, the ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee.
