Would any of the Superstars like to comment on this:
AVG has done a full system scan and come up with the following "viruses"
C:\Documents and settings\Rob\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deploymentcache\javapi\v1.0\jar\loaderadv268.jar-688ccab8-34b72e6a.zip
thenb the same files with ":Counter.class" and ":\Parser.class" at the end. I suspect they aren't viruses but relate to an update of java that failed. How should I deal with them?
Many thanks in anticipation.
Rob.

my Norton Internet Security keeps switching itself off without me doing anything and then returns without me doing anything - worrying because I only recognise when its off when ads start appearing - anybody any idea. My local IT guys say its rubbish but is that true.
Iain , mine 2004NT , don't know if that makes any difference?

Optimist , I have MS firewall ON and Norton off. Norton anti-virus is not affected and has remained on. Going to do a scan.

Any ideas what I can do with a virus infected file that Norton has found,
that it can't beat currently - refuses to be repaired, quarrentined OR
very worryingly deleted!
Norton has given it the usual 'don't know' title of
Bloodhound.Packed virus
and it is in file (?) named c\\windows\system32\FScET.dll
and that means absolutely jack to me! LOL
Seriously I'm not laughing, keep getting the virus alerts screen up
but what can I do???????
