Scrolling long threads is very slow, perhaps because of the large number of images in the post headers. E.g. do All Posts on this thread and click the scroll bar on the right hand side to scroll up or down. Not sure if there is anything that can be done.

Looking at Charts, why are the indicators 'condensed' at the top end of the chart?

Ian, I don't think the squelch button is working on both "Theads".
Help.

I can't give you much more I'm afraid. Repainting the screen as you scroll this thread (All Posts) by clicking on the right hand scroll bar is visibly slow, I guess not unworkable, but slow. 1.5Ghz processor, would be worse on earlier models I think.

Don't know, I guess it must be something in the HTML. I've tried to disable images and it still does it so it's not the actual image loading. You could try specifying the height and width of each image explicitly so that it can display the page correctly before loading the images. The other suspect is the Vertical align:middle.

Another idea, some images are 18x18 and others 25x25. Perhaps making them all 18x18 would help.

I've just changed the working of the

link so it should be more intuitive.

JT: I don't know the correct way to express this, but threads I read pretty regularly always started from the last post I had read when I next visited. Now that's not the case. I know I'm getting old but I can remember I've already read that lot. Can we revert to the previous system, please?

Jon - you've changed the chain link in exactly the way I hoped you would. I'm redundant now:-)
But did you consider my suggestion to open a link in a new window?

I've just hurt myself on those pins... must be more careful while cleaning the monitor.
