Cybit the best telematics play (CYH)

Still Waiting - 21 Sep 2003 22:33

The chart for this stock says it all.

The company is quickly becoming a real gem in the telematics field, over the last month the co. has announced re-seller contracts which will bring in min. 2m or >30% of last years T/O alone.

The company is already experiencing massive organic growth so the co. should be profitable now following last years 500k loss.

The co. has approx. 6m cash and is in one of the hottest growth areas at the moment.

With a market cap. of 25m this will be re-rated x2/3 minimum within the next 6-12 months IMHO.

MM buys went through on Friday with T/O continuing to build, one to put on your monitor...

Cybit announces first order for Fleetstar-Online with integrated Driver ID module

Site Electrical selects new telematics solution to verify driver locations and enhance Duty of Care compliance
Cybit, the UKs leading online telematics service provider, has announced the first order for Fleetstar-Online integrated with the powerful new Driver ID module. Site Electrical, a leading mechanical and electrical services provider, will install the complete solution into its fleet of around 40 engineering vans. For the first time, this will enable Site Electrical to verify driver locations and driving times, as well as help enhance the companys Duty of Care provision to its fleet of mobile and lone workers.

Site Electrical, which specialises in the breakdown support and maintenance of water pumping stations for companies such as United Utilities, will use the Driver ID module to proactively manage individual driving times for engineers especially where more than one travel in the same van and ensure compliance with Working Time Directive regulations. It will also use real-time tracking to monitor the safety of its drivers, who sometimes work alone and are on-call to provide emergency response 24/7.Historical analysis of driving practices will allow Site Electrical to adjust its business practices to optimise driver safety.

Because we have to support pumping stations and sewerage plants, we are often faced with a mandatory short response time, sometimes of less than an hour, and that is at any time of the day or night, commented Steve Crump, Operations Director, Site Electrical. We have workers on call that will often need to negotiate difficult road conditions on their own, late at night. Using Fleetstar-Online we can track their progress in real time to ensure their personal safety. In addition, we will be able to monitor driving practices and encourage safer driving.

Our standard support services usually require two engineers to travel together, and this is why we felt that the innovative Driver ID from Cybit would be beneficial to our business. It enables us to have a comprehensive record of when each of them was behind the wheel, which ensures we can maintain our Duty of Care responsibilities, and also helps us provide a complete audit trail of driver activity. Fleetstar-Online has many benefits that you dont realise from the outset, addressing many underlying issues in addition to standard tracking and location functionality, and we anticipate significant enhancements to our fleet operations as a result of this deployment.

Site Electrical will be using Fleetstar-Online to fulfil a wide range of business requirements, and is a good example of a business using the solutions entire range of functionality to bring enhancements to its fleet, commented John Wisdom, Cybits Group Sales and Marketing Director. Our new Driver ID module, which integrates seamlessly with Fleetstar-Online will bring additional benefits to Site Electrical by enabling it to have greater visibility over its Duty of Care responsibilities.

The Driver ID solution forms a key part of Cybits new Duty of Care module, which helps fleet managers proactively manage the risks associated with all staff on work journeys. The Fleetstar Duty of Care module features powerful reporting capabilities to give fleet managers all the information they need to implement work related road safety policies.

Fleetstar-Online is Cybits scalable Internet-based fleet and asset management solution that provides organisations with precisely the level of telematics functionality they require, while also ensuring an easy upgrade path so that it can evolve to meet changing business needs. Fleet vehicles are fitted with a small electronic in-vehicle-unit (IVU) which is tracked by GPS in real-time and then transmits data to Cybits online control centre. It provides companies with a cost-effective ASP-based fleet management solution, which offers users anytime, anywhere access to the system via a standard web browser.
