Haystack - Isaacs' point illustrates well the fatuousness of your argument.
And for heavens sake, ask your bright adopted son how to spell "negotiate".

I think Isaac's point illustrates the illogicality of Israel's argument. It is similar to a murderer, who complains about his penalty. And by the way 'Isaacs' should have had an apostrophe as in Isaac's. You either check your spelling and grammar as poorly as I do or you don't understand punctuation rules.

Hays - if you're going to moan about apostrophes, at least put yours in the right place.

Actually, Haystack, if his bb name was 'Isaac', then "Isaac's" would be correct, but as it's "Isaacs", then both Isaacs' and Isaacs's could be deemed correct, depending on style preferences. (

Either way Gausie has it wrong. At least mine was correct.

Lol - haystack, double check. Both Jonathan and I have pointed out that yours was incorrect. You're incorrigible! You're forever making stuff up and quoting it as fact.

Mine is only incorrect if you know that his name is Isaacs. I asumed it was Isaac. but of course yours was wrong either way. Mine was grammatically correct and your was incorrect no matter what his name was.

But Idid not know his name was Isaacs. And regardless of style preference Gausie's
"Isaacs point illustrates" is always wrong. I notice that he has edited his post now in deference.

I think something you hae to accept is that Haystacks' is never wrong, or at least rarely admits' to being so. Its' why s'ensible debate on this thread is' nigh on imposs'ible!
Did I get my apostrofees' in the right place?

I was not implying that I am never wrong. I was saying that in this instance Gausie was wrong. I did not know what Isaacs name was. My comments were based on his name as shown in Gausie's post and not looking at the names of posters. It is not earth shattering either way. I only commented as Gausie was picking up on a spelling mistake of mine. I don't usually care whether people make mistakes or not. My posts often have many mistakes in them due to a lack of checking.

The German parliament has passed a cross-party motion calling for an end to the Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip saying that the blockade was counter-productive.
"The living conditions of the civilian population of Gaza must be urgently improved," said the motion, adding that the blockade was counterproductive.
The motion was supported by all parties from the three party governing coalition to the opposition Social Democratic Party and the Green Party.
International pressure on Tel Aviv increased following Israel's vicious May 31 attack on an aid flotilla bound for Gaza.
Nine Turkish activists were killed in the attack and more than 50 others were injured in the attack.
The petition has sparked the wrath of Germany's influential Central Council of Jews which acts as a diplomatic representative of Israel in Berlin.

There was no irony and my posts are not in any way fiction.
Here is a new one.
A human rights report revealed that 70 Palestinian captives died under torture in Israeli occupation jails since 1967.
The report, which was written by a researcher in prisoners' affairs, added: "There are tens of captives who died after being released from Israeli jails of illnesses caused mainly by torture. Hundreds of ex-captives are still suffering various physical and psychological illnesses and permanent disabilities as a result of the torture they underwent during their captivity."
He said that the fact that the list of deaths contains only male captives does not mean that female and child captives are not tortured in Israeli occupation jails, pointing to the fact that all testimonies point to the fact that all Palestinians who get detained by the occupation are subjected to torture regardless of their age, sex or health condition.
He called on the United Nations and International human rights organisations to investigate the types of psychological and physical torture systematically and "lawfully" practiced by the Israeli occupation in interrogation centres and jails so that they could pressure the occupation to make torture illegal and to try all those who practiced it and all those who made lawful for them to practice it.
