Seems to be about 20. Most people buying the CD these days, takes up much less room.

Golddog - 30 Nov 2003 18:53 - 3036 of 23498

jeffmack - 30 Nov 2003 18:58 - 3037 of 23498

These things always seem more valuable than they are. You probably cant give them away. Try a school.

Golddog - 30 Nov 2003 19:06 - 3038 of 23498

Well i will put them back in the poochy library for now.

another cuppa anyone or something stronger?

actually im popping in and out whilst i do a bit of online Xmas shopping, it really saves waiting in long queueueues whilst sitting in the comfort of my Cafe chair.

vasey - 30 Nov 2003 19:08 - 3039 of 23498

Hi, Poochy. Could you please put me down for the game, thank you.

Just been wrapping up a couple of prezzies. Double-sided tape everywhere; gruesome stuff. Large glass of wine, please.....

DYS reports on Thursday, Socks!

Golddog - 30 Nov 2003 19:23 - 3040 of 23498

It's gorgeous Vasey (looking rather sexy in high heeled shoes sitting high up on a rather stylish stool by the bar), You want me to put you down for the game! It will be sad to see you go but i can do a quick injection if you like? hee he :-)

That reminds me i must get some wrapping paper.

Socrates - 30 Nov 2003 19:53 - 3041 of 23498

I'm afraid I have no idea of the value of your set of books. Since there are various editions, styles of binding and ages it really could be anything. Best ask a book dealer but I suspect, if it is a modern set, as Jeffmack suggests it won't be very much. If you were to see a set for sale in a dealers shop I would reckon he would not offer much more than half that. Private sale would be the way to go. As for buying them, not a chance I regret. I always look up Britannica on the web, it's free you know.

Just an afterthought, but have you tried reading them, LOL.
[:-)

little willie - 30 Nov 2003 20:02 - 3042 of 23498

'Ello everybody, just off up the wooden hill and thought I'd catch up on posties.
All Xmas shopping done, five pressies and a load of cheques [its what the young 'uns want as posting from here's so expensive], BUT, what THEY don't know is mrs.lw leaves in the morning obn the early bird flight to uk to spend a fortnight with her ma & family.
Me can't go as me has to look after Brandy Boy our American Rag Doll cat, he, he!
Two weeks on my own, 1st party starts at 11pm tommorrow night, all welcome, sorry its late but I'm playing golf all day, he he.
Night John boy....

ps...most guys say they sold the encyclopedias when they got married as they reckon their wives know everything....not me though, eh love...

1st party starts, not just one 14 day party then? Her indoors would like a Rag Doll cat but they're a bit clingy, she would never go out. I have some relatives in SA, we can't send anything to them by post, it never arrives, even Christmas Cards go missing. Presents have no chance, sad isn't it?

hightone - 30 Nov 2003 21:23 - 3044 of 23498
