mindseye it should be remember that the price of oil price on IEC has less effect
than one would imagine, due to the tax whereas over $27 a barrel(not sure of the exact figure) IEC pay 90% tax + other charges and its been worked out something approaching 96%.
Its why i sold up,although they make somewhere between $15 and $17 a barrel
profit. I believe it holds back the value of the reserves so holding back the M/Cap.

sp currently nestling on 25 dma support ...... arguably a reasonable level at which to buy ..... so i bought back 1/2 my top-slice

Proposals with Gazprom ended, although an agreement of mutual co-operation.

not with Gazprom, but with Gazprombank .... it was the bank, not the gas/oil company that was talking of taking a 25% stake at a discount ..... they prob wanted it too cheap!

it was lower ..... think i shall stay put with my holding, though have been pruning in general quite severely ...... FTSE has not held its opening rise, but early days (try hours!)

Trading at 13.50 at the beginning of november before Gazprom were on the scene. NO reason why they wont go back up. Plus hopefully may get some institutions buying now were in the 250. Great time to buy some more!!!! 8-)

Cynic, Thats my only concern as well, Could be the new year before we get a proper rally. SCARY!!! Recently sold out some of my biggest profit making shares saved a couple of thousand in potential lost profits in just one week.

i have pruned very heavily over the last week or ..... inevitably had some stinkers in the portfolio, but better to cut them out and move on

True bearish signals, it will take several days of consolidation, before the market dares to venture truly north, imo. Otherwise it seems to just drift, again some bullish statements around this morning, but doing nothing to send the FTSE higher, 6 months ago was a very different story...

Weve got to go through another rate cut in the States yet!

i rather hope there is not another rate cut in US as $ already horribly weak ...... further, it will exacerbate inflationary pressures and also imply a certain state of panic ..... UK however seems destined for a rate cut within the next 2/3 weeks

you are quite right and arguably i should have sold the balance this morning ...... however, as you are clearly still throwing a bit of a tantrum re the posts on PET, i shall merely add that at least IEC are producing

Cynic, my fair comments suitable responces all things considered.Back to IEC markets horrible if stays below 200 sma & continues falling would consider buying @ 850p.bwtfdik.

Should have gone with my gut feeling after reading a report late Sunday, and
sold all my stock. Alas i change my mind.
