that got said a lot earlier in the year , pat, then it fell to sub 4p.i wasnt really trying to make a point , just thinking out loud really.i had forgotten that reiser were american , so , that means they already are in america,so, that means that if asda like the trial , and then walmart take it to america , that means they will have a serious foothold in america , which starts to make tim freeborns ludicrous predictions a little less fanciful, and if other packaging companies use seo technology then that means............ drifting off , spending my millions .....mmmmmmmmm

superrod - 27 Nov 2004 17:29 - 318 of 27111

although a fan of seo have you guys/gals never heard of "buy on the rumour, sell on the news "?

its the only mantra that works ( imo )

bosley - 28 Nov 2004 23:16 - 319 of 27111

have you read any of the previous posts super?

bosley - 29 Nov 2004 11:43 - 320 of 27111

AdieH - 29 Nov 2004 16:37 - 323 of 27111

Lol I wish, only a few thousand more but in for the long term.

bosley - 30 Nov 2004 09:54 - 324 of 27111

bit of a drop this morning. people selling in anticipation of damages annoncement? couple of largeish sells late yesterday too . but buyers coming back in now buy price is 6p.(5.93)

AdieH - 30 Nov 2004 10:26 - 325 of 27111

Yep totally agree but the compensation won't be sorted today, well thats my understanding, the case today is to confirm what other details SEO have in regard to an appeal, I stand to be corrected though...

hangon - 30 Nov 2004 10:41 - 326 of 27111

Got a good thread going, huh?
Well sorry if I've spread (some maintain are ) falsehoods, as the consensus is that the Damages are in the price - no they are not. If they are then tell me what they are and how many months/years existing business profits will be needed to pay for this fiasco.
My comments regarding the simple machinery, was merely Life/Business in general; it's not rocket science, nor are they dealing with critically ill patients (as in any wonder Bio product). They get a container and stick a lid on it - it's then repeated hour after hour. It may be very clever and save (eg ASDA) lots of money, but it ain't gonna make profits if the business is mortally wounded by the cc Ruling. No-one knows.
[[..Sorry about the spelling..]]
The SEO share is very much news driven and I thought the thread (now gone) was getting over-excited about the ASDA news.....so, just an element of caution; but I see I'm too late, the party's started and the drinks are a-flowing. Just watch it! Arround early Oct04 the sp went from c.6p to c.4p - a massive fall over a few days.
Once the Damages are sorted, and everyone's been paid, then we shall see if Heads should roll - only then can the company provide figures for the Market and only then will we know when (or if) a profit will trickle-down to investors - a species that has largely been ignored by this Company.
- Now look at the PE....do you still feel lucky?

willfagg - 30 Nov 2004 10:55 - 327 of 27111

Dear hang on
The initial and short lived drop to 4p was an over reaction to the initial news, which once everyone had a chance to reassess realised that any likely payment would not be much as they had not derived any gain from it. Any payment would be basicaly for them not being more careful about who owned the IPR on productas they were trying to develop.
In addition to this SEO have continued to deliver additional good news on orders won and future performance which has now brought the price back to where it was before all this started, but not really a lot further.
This price discounts all new positive developments (incl ASDA)annd iI think should have further to go in the short term. All IMO

willfagg - 30 Nov 2004 10:57 - 328 of 27111

Buys are powering ahead but market seems to have a pschycological barrier to 6p

superrod - 30 Nov 2004 12:30 - 329 of 27111

bosley
i have read all the posts on this thread. my commentwas not a criticism of SEO, just an observation of the market in general. i watch a lot of stocks and almost without exception the share retraces after good news. however big a fan i am of a stock i will sell a fair nunber on good news. nearly always manage to buy back later, cheaper, with few quid in the bank.

bosley - 30 Nov 2004 12:33 - 330 of 27111

6p barrier has been there for over a year will . . hangon, nobody is partying yet. speaking for myself , i have been on the look out for a company with a good story , a good product and loads of potential. seo ticks my boxes. all companies are a risk, (cf jarvis, pretty much every tech stock in 2001, mytravel, etc.)but seo have something that is quite new , that companies like , that will be legislation driven and has bags of potential. the patent dispute with bprg HAS been overdone. damages wont be that severe because not a lot of money was earned by seo . basically , bprg now get a finished product that THEY can make big bucks from . good luck to them. back to seo . some companies have already signed up to use seos packaging technology , some are at trial stage . you cannot deny the massive potential here, even if it is merely putting lids on things. putting lids on things will bring in an extra 4million this year just from one company , and 4million next year from the same company . get afew of them going, as they are trying to do , and you get good profits. sounds pretty good to me . i DO agree with you that the seo management could have handled all this shit better. but , as i have said before, its this mangaement team that have developed this company from a welding company to one which has the potential to make serious money in the future.its been said before , and i will repeat it for hangon , because he seems to think we are all lemmings ready to fall off the cliff. it will be a good day when this dispute is over, when the uncertainty is gone, when calim and counter claim is settled and we all know the end figures. until then this is all mere speculation . people who have put money into seo are taking the view that damages will not be so severe that seo will crumble. it may hurt but the future will still be bright.as you say about life, its a gamble.

Dynamite - 30 Nov 2004 13:15 - 331 of 27111

Here, Here Bosley....I look on SEO as PDX 18 months ago only better cos' they are cheaper than PDX were and already in trials with the big boys. This share is a big gamble but if it pays off could easily be a ten bagger or more.

AdieH - 30 Nov 2004 13:34 - 332 of 27111

Like your thoughts dynamite, i'm in PDX as well, both companies fantastic futures ahead and you can add BPRG to that too...

Dynamite - 30 Nov 2004 14:36 - 333 of 27111

AdieH...I would add BPRG as well but my funds are all tied up at the mo.I've also got NOP, KMR, YOO and several other long term goodies.

AdieH - 30 Nov 2004 14:45 - 334 of 27111

Good Luck with those, I hold various others but like you all cash tied up for now...

predator22 - 30 Nov 2004 16:14 - 335 of 27111

IMO
you going to need a rights isuee to fund BPRG damages.
