ZOO - on the up again? (ZOO)

LINZIMASON - 29 Jul 2003 15:30

What's happening here - the volume has increased massively today. Am I missing something in the air - anybody got any news?

spieler - 16 Oct 2003 11:19 - 32 of 170

Just another quiet day at the zoo (+42.5% as I write)

rodders14 - 16 Oct 2003 14:30 - 33 of 170

I would love to take profits but only if it goes down enough afterwards to allow me back in for the next hike. Thinking overall, I am going to sit on my holding and cross my fingers for very little retracement and news within the next month to help it jump up again. I sat for quite a while waiting for it to rise enough to cover the spread so every hike up is pure profit now.
Uzbekking 44 I totally agree with you but isnt it annoying when the news is released and very few people do anything about it until an article in shares magazine lead people by the scruff of the neck and shove their noses in it before they realise how much potential this share has, it also shows that press coverage is vital to small firms like this.

rodders14 - 16 Oct 2003 14:33 - 34 of 170

It has been quite a while (if ever) that a share I actually own is the top % gainer of the day, feels good. Would another 40% rise tomorrow be cheeky to ask for.

rodders14 - 16 Oct 2003 14:58 - 35 of 170

Looking at the trades and the proportion of sells (supposedly), either the protected T trades are buys and are showing as sells or they are actually sells but even if they are sells, the fact that they are holding the price regardless, seems to me to be a strong indication to buy/hold whatever the T trades are.

rodders14 - 16 Oct 2003 17:33 - 36 of 170

its 5:30pm and there has been constant trading in this share since the market closed we have a few mm's needing the overtime I think.

rodders14 - 16 Oct 2003 19:24 - 37 of 170

800k shares traded after hours, with a normal day up until now trading 120k trades there has to be something more tomorrow. Total of about 7.5 million shares traded today, that equates to approx. 3.5% of the company changing hands in one day!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 12million shares trading since Monday equates to 6% of the total company changing hands and we still have tomorrow to go

breydon - 17 Oct 2003 08:25 - 38 of 170

When to take profits ?
Problem

spieler - 17 Oct 2003 12:08 - 39 of 170

Copy of my reply to Breydon on Traders Room Thread:

Up a further 20% this morning.

From Money AM - Todays Leaders and Laggards

ZOO Digital rose 17.6% to 15p. On 13 October it said it had signed a second exclusive licensing agreement with Universal Pictures UK, one of the world's leading publishers of DVD-Video titles. The licensing agreement is to create an interactive football DVD game using its novel DVD-Extra authoring system. Under the terms of the deal, ZOO will earn cash advances and substantial ongoing royalties.

Shares Magazine (issue 42, 16-22 October) recommended Zoo as a buy . There is a good chance that Zoo share will eventually regain their glory levels of 74p after they listed in 2000. Its technology works and companies are queuing up to buy it, the magazine said.

Breydon, when to take profits is your decision but I leave you with one of Richard Rhodes trading rules:

Be patient. The old adage that "you never go broke taking a profit" is maybe the most worthless piece of advice ever given. Taking small profits is the surest way to ultimate loss I can think of, for small profits are never allowed to develop into enormous profits. The real money in trading is made from the one, two or three large trades that develop each year. You must develop the ability to patiently stay with winning trades to allow them to develop into that sort of trade.

Here is a link to the other rules - they make a lot of sense to me.

rodders14 - 17 Oct 2003 18:25 - 41 of 170

Another 5% of the company's shares traded today alone. With the rises since Tuesday of this week maybe you lot will see what I have been rambling on about here. Roll on Monday. With all these after hours trades (and mostly buys) I think it is obvious which way this is going on Monday morning.

Nitefly - 17 Oct 2003 18:30 - 42 of 170

Yeah good luck guys!

Remember the important factor... don't be afraid to take your profits as it would be a shame for the MM's to start and hike this one back down while everyone else still believes it will go higher. Feel free to join our party over at RTD when it starts :) - With fat wallets of course :P

washlander - 18 Oct 2003 01:42 - 43 of 170

I agree with Haigh well done, I to went RTD. Here's hoping LOL. I note still all buys by close of trading.

LINZIMASON - 18 Oct 2003 17:45 - 44 of 170

MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE. This is good stuff and available to ALL. Good press and only just starting to roll. There will be other deals, better results. If it starts to shake, then grit your teeth. Look back in a year's time.

rodders14 - 19 Oct 2003 00:47 - 45 of 170

I am not thinking about selling until 33 is on the bid but it will piss me off cos I think this is worth 70-80p, but I dont know if I can hold past 33p, which I think is going to be the next resistance level

Uzbekking44 - 19 Oct 2003 12:04 - 46 of 170

The ADVFN bb is full of doom and gloom merchants this weekend. Glad to see everybody over here is chipper about Monday's prospects.

umbrellaking - 19 Oct 2003 12:29 - 47 of 170

In your guys opinion, how long can it go? 20p or more? and how long will it take? one month? I'm thinking going in, but not sure if it's the right timing.

LEEWINK - 19 Oct 2003 15:12 - 48 of 170

Well to be honest, 20p will hit monday morning, if not certainly by just after dinner, friday saw 1.2 million + trades bought after 4.30 !! and this was just in an hour and a half, let alone the rest of the day, trades are increasing.

Confidence and money is showing in zoo big time now, and the big boys and institutions cant be far behind, and personally if your going in now, go in monday at 8.00 am dead, at least then you have guaranteed upswing, as this will surely rocket as friday did.

Going on the charts etc for the last few days its looking a great buy.

lee

umbrellaking - 19 Oct 2003 16:56 - 49 of 170

So,Lee, briefly, what's your one-week target and two-week target?
cheers

TENNER - 19 Oct 2003 20:36 - 50 of 170

Hi guys, Bought in at 8.25p, have doubled for me but don,t know how long to hold, I hope this baby goes to the 30p mark. Does anybody know what the price will be around xmas.

goldfinger - 19 Oct 2003 23:19 - 51 of 170

This might be of interest to the Guys who are long like myself. Taken from the Wall Street Transcript...........From CEO Stewart August this year.

We are not therefore under any illusion and know we need to partner with somebody going forward to really maximize the potential of the technology we have. We believe that it has massive potential. We can probably only get a certain amount out of it, but with an international business behind it then I think it will have enormous value. One of the things we'll be looking at over the next twelve months is who we should be partnering with and who can help us actually maximize the revenue opportunity with us.

Note An INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS Partner. Now then guys what would a partnership or even a take over do for the share price and ultimately the market Cap of the Business?.

It would shoot up and any maniac shorting would be burnt to cinders.

Its going to happen guys, so hang onto your seats.

gf.
