Its quite obvious that Tabasco is becoming increasingly desperate with the state of the SP. Having failed to stop others posting their opinion with his usual sarcasm and belittling insults, his ramping comments without foundation or research, we now have promises of violence, desperation indeed. Billy Smarts have come to town!

Bert, I think youre the only person who has posted an opinion on what is the most interesting aspect of MDX at the moment; why would anyone pay such a huge premium for 1.3M shares? I must admit it intrigues me no end and I can think of other answers in addition to your own.

1. MDX are about to release astounding news which will result in a doubling of the SP. I think this unlikely, if true MDX could rightly be accused of withholding price sensitive information and allowing an unknown party to take unfair advantage. The market certainly doesnt seem to think this is the case otherwise it would be a no-brainer buy and heading North at a rate of knots.

2. 1.3M shares were unavailable on the open market? Umm, definitely not, an average of 3M shares are traded on MDX each day, an order could have been filled with little problem, especially in what is a sellers market.

3. The payment was an existing obligation. Was part of the agreement to satisfy this obligation with the vendor an issue of shares at a pre-agreed price? No idea.

4. Has someone close to MDX with sufficient funds helped the company out by paying such a huge premium? Obviously this would help (as evidenced on Friday) to provide a base and prevent further falls in a stock which has fallen 50% in a matter of weeks. Of course any action which prevents further loss of SP value would possibly result in a fund raising at a much higher price; less dilution for more money.

Make up your own mind I have no idea.

Scotty, I wouldnt get too carried away with recent events. This latest dilution is to satisfy existing obligations. MDX by their own admission need to raise additional funds for working capital and introduction of new products to the market place. The availability of bank funds in way of a loan or overdraft facilities is looking bleak in todays carnage and I would expect a share issue of some description. If they get THAT away at 43p, gloat away.

For the benefit of treblemouth and hilary…I have just had the best couple of days trading since bprg hit the £1-30’s and all this without an automated trading systems… I’m out now before 4500….not pushing my luck…cash is scarce….think there is going to be a terrific rate cut…Only thing that would stop the slide!...might increase mdx?
