ASOS: BUY AT LOW PRICE!!!! (ASC)

wilco99 - 12 Sep 2003 15:52

ASOS have dropped quite significantly in the past week for no particular reason and I view this as the perfect opportunity to invest as I can see them bouncing right back up to the 5.50p mark in the next 2-3 weeks. STRONG BUY!!

cynic - 04 Feb 2011 09:18 - 3315 of 5941

has 1600 barrier now been broken?

tomasz - 04 Feb 2011 09:28 - 3316 of 5941

1600 not the case..i think it will stand for next support ..some end of april. now top is more important..:)

cynic - 04 Feb 2011 09:49 - 3317 of 5941

sp has been really struggling to break and hold above that 1600 resistance, but looks as though it may now have done so

mitzy - 04 Feb 2011 09:54 - 3318 of 5941

Take your choice

Amazon,Best Seller or someone from the great unknown.
It looks as if there should be some development soon.

tomasz - 07 Feb 2011 09:04 - 3325 of 5941

1685 !.. just 16k volume.. may be short covering , on shoulder of flying ftse.. just covered all high 16's , sp could pullback below 1650, would be sweet

tomasz - 07 Feb 2011 09:21 - 3326 of 5941

1706!!! mega welcome .

jkd - 07 Feb 2011 12:49 - 3327 of 5941

t
dont see how your 1706 can be considered mega welcome. given that you covered in high 1600's.
anyway price now back to the 1650sh level you mentioned.
flat and price back to under 1650 is sweet but price up to 1706 is mega welcome.
you confuse me.
good luck.
regards
jkd

I'm holding quiet lot mid 15's. covered some 1642 average wich i bought to early when sp was rising up to 1680 last month, sp correct itself so i bought it expecting go above 17 but it dive nearly kiling me also make richer cynic at the same time.now this uptrend got pretty long way behind it and i thing guiet bit to go, so could be some pullback before, some low 16's, for wich am waiting for.hope that helps.

cynic - 07 Feb 2011 14:27 - 3330 of 5941

that's very unkind lol

dcb - 07 Feb 2011 14:38 - 3331 of 5941

it might be unkind but it's funny lol

hangon - 07 Feb 2011 14:51 - 3332 of 5941

FWIW I havent liked this stock, not on sp trades, but on my understanding of their fundamental business practice. There!
yet, I don't understand why the sp is still rising, it looks massivly overvalued...it's nearly four times the cost of BP and they pay a dividend (we're told now), I noticed that director JK was given just under 3m by exercising rights - which were a charge on investors...what did they get for the risk this stock could falter?

I would have thought the underlying business could be replicated by anyone with a warehouse and some fashion nouse......quite difficult to replicate say M&S, with all those stores and a "Brand to die for" - yet for less money you can buy either M&S or Tesco which has much overseas growth exposure....I hold a v. few of all of these, and don't see the attraction to ASOS . . . .yet I'm obviously "wrong" as it appears to have SuperGroup abilities. (er, that's another stock I don't hold)....anyone that bought-in a few years ago is very well rewarded, but I question if new-entrants are being a tad "silly"? - with alternatives abounding.
