nice jump in sp today. Can not find any news items- anyone able to "enlighten" me

hewittalan6 - 13 Feb 2006 08:45 - 345 of 1525

Nice steady rising means this one is approaching a 4 bagger for me. Anyone any idea where the top might be and a good price to get out? I can't work it out at all!!
Alan

N.i.c.e. approval on 22nd Feb followed by contract news. All going well.

robinhood - 20 Feb 2006 10:11 - 347 of 1525

slmchow - 21 Feb 2006 08:09 - 349 of 1525

Daily Mail this morning

Almost 63m Ultrasis (3/8p better at 2 5/8) changed hands. Hopes are high that the National Institute of Clinical Excellence will tomorrow recommend the group's Beating the Blues computerised package should be used to beat depression. If that happens, the system could be rolled out across the NHS.

hewittalan6 - 21 Feb 2006 08:09 - 350 of 1525

C'MON BABY!!!!!
3.5p will make it a 5 bagger!!
Where will we stop???
(Sorry. Just getting over excited)
Alan

kimoldfield - 21 Feb 2006 08:51 - 351 of 1525

Sorry Alan, topped up this am and the sp slipped back immediately! Still, only a temporary blip eh?!
Kim

hewittalan6 - 21 Feb 2006 08:55 - 352 of 1525

Hopefully.
It will be one of those situations where the RNS is fantastic and the SP doesn't move because all the news has been built in for the last couple of days!!
I think it will be a good year though as contracts come to us rather than the other way around, on the back of the NICE recommendation.
Good luck,
Alan

hewittalan6 - 21 Feb 2006 08:58 - 353 of 1525

BTW, Kim.
No matter what NICE says, we will almost certainly see the effects of the BORSON brigade tomorrow, so we may even see a fall!!

kimoldfield - 21 Feb 2006 09:13 - 354 of 1525

Yes, could be Alan but I'm in these for the long haul, as with most of my holdings, whenever I try to make a fast buck I usually find I'm a nano second too late!!
Kim

hewittalan6 - 21 Feb 2006 09:15 - 355 of 1525

I go for long haul stuff based on being a tight yorkshireman and hating to hand over a tenner to the brokers!!(That and I'm crap at timing it)
Alan

:-)

WOODIE - 21 Feb 2006 10:16 - 357 of 1525

my guess you will see profit taking by end of the week, cant see why peps will sell out at this stage once nice is annouced it will make it a more saleable to the world markets including the usa as the world still views the nhs as one of the top health markets in the world, so a nice kite mark will be very positive for future sales as it will mean a price increase for other cos that have had it at a give away price .

gimp - 21 Feb 2006 10:38 - 358 of 1525

Kim, reference post no 351: what did the sp fall back to, please? I had to take a friend to the station at the most crucial time, so missed a chance to top up. Thanks.

mjr1234 - 21 Feb 2006 10:40 - 359 of 1525

4p on the cards within days, easy. 5p possible by end of the week?

kimoldfield - 21 Feb 2006 11:32 - 360 of 1525

Sorry gimp, been sorting out a weird smell in the dining room, turned out to be a dead mouse under the stairs! Price fell back to 3.05 to buy, I paid 3.09...not much difference but it always happens to me, nicely past that price now though!
Kim

gimp - 21 Feb 2006 11:44 - 361 of 1525

Thanks Kim. I have to say I am a bit wary to step in now since I feel the sp will fall back tomorrow on the good news and I may have a chance to top up lower ... ?Ha! I can hope, eh? Good luck with that mousy smell. :-)

kimoldfield - 21 Feb 2006 11:59 - 362 of 1525

Thanks gimp, amazing how bad a smell such a small thing can make! (Bit like a duff share really!). I think there is a good chance we will see a temporary pull back tomorrow, panic buying seems to have set in and, as Alan says, the BORSON brigade will no doubt make a difference. Personally I don't pay too much attention to rumour alone, my own research is what I base my buys/sells on.....a pity it turns out to be crap so often!! I really like this share though and the NICE website gives a good indication of the Beat the Blues programme's potential.

gimp - 21 Feb 2006 12:45 - 363 of 1525

I agree with you Kim. SNAP! I also like ULT. It is a powerful little share if you buy and hold. I, too, do my own research and liked this little gem from the start. Rumour is very bad for the intelligent investor! I also believe that because of the run up to RNS, this may pull back tomorrow through sheer exhaustion from all that climbing. On the other hand, we do not know what that RNS contains and may well neutralise our speculation.
