The 2013 full year preliminary results for RSA Insurance Group plc was announced 27 February 2014.


"3 FOR 8 RIGHTS ISSUE AT 56 PENCE PER NEW ORDINARY SHARE
Further to the announcement on 27 February of its preliminary results for the year ended 31 December 2013, RSA Insurance Group plc ("RSA" or the “Company”) today announces the launch of a rights issue to raise £773 million in proceeds (£748 million net of expenses) (the “Rights Issue”). The Rights Issue is a fully underwritten 3 for 8 rights issue of 1,380,976,863 ordinary shares of 27.5 pence each in the capital of the Company at a price of 56 pence per New Ordinary Share.
The Issue Price of 56 pence per New Ordinary Share represents a discount of approximately 40% to the closing price of 93.4 pence on 24 March 2014 (being the last business day prior to the release of this announcement) and a 32.7% discount to the theoretical ex-rights price based on the closing price on 24 March 2014."

Bottom chart 'fast stochastic'

Breaking out again , 200p target.

Good move today Dil, can't see where it's coming from but there must be something behind the scenes happening for this sort of rise. Been out for a while (big mistake) but bought back in before the results.
p.s. I like the sound of 200p.

Been on the watch list for a while , took the plunge earlier this week. Results were good but the chart is the clincher , fell so fast when it crashed that there is no resistance between here and 200p+.

I had an earlier bite Dil and made good money but came out too early, couldn't resist going back in, it was all looking too good to miss.

Dil, 2 that would be nice.

May take 12 months but the chart is steepening so maybe sooner.

Bloody hell looking good here again.

It is looking like we are on the move again, if you look at the chart we are just coming out of a head & shoulders. It would be nice to see RSA back to 140p+.

Looking good for the next leg up goal. The 50 moving up through a rising 200 is positive. 'Golden cross' but I think they are EMA's you have used, looks good though :-)

One of just a few holdings I still have.

Brandes have reduced to below 3 % !
That must be taken as a good sign for RSA for if the shares had been placed on the market then the market has absorbed a lot of stock without a large drop.
The other alternative is that the stock has gone to another holder...good to see that, Brandes are not takeover specialists, new holder may be.

Will update the chart, the earlier one show RSA has been to 5......only sets me off dreaming... LOL

Next challenge is to get past the previous highs, may not be too long, that Brandes holding does appear to have been placed somewhere.
Firm again this morning in a dull market.

RSA following the market the last few weeks, given a firmer FTSE with the interims due on the 10th Aug we could see the sp pushing 140p. Without undue shocks and surprises maybe we will break 140 and push on to new (recent) highs. Must be realistic, can't see us getting back to the 'old days' highs :-)
