My relatives are bearable because they are 200 miles away, (I don't really mean that).
Roast? The tin of beans is already open because after a few drinks the tin opener is a disaster area.
Pressies, wrapped? Why wrap a new iron, it's in a box for goodness sake!
Tree?
BOOZE - now you're talking.

Who are you making tea for at this time of day, surely [?] the bank are at the gin & it parties.
Stick a funny hat on your bonce, a whistle thingy in your norf & sarf, have another mince pie and relax in the caff.
No frenzy here, all civilised and ready to eat, as Socs so nicely puts it, our wilderbeest.
Do you know I could have swore I heard that you've mad cow in the UK but none over here, tee hee except I also heard Mrs Thatcher [I don't recognise all that Sir, Lord, Lady crap] is Christmassing over here.
Have a great Yuletide everyone....

I don't think we have any mad cow over here any more, the US have just said they have some though.
I have decided, in the absence of the canine proprietor, to keep the cafe open over Christmas. I thought it would be convivial for people to pop in for a quiet drink away from the frenzy of families and friends. A little haven of peace and tranquility is just what the doctor ordered at such times.

Thats it, markets closed so I thought it was time to relax. That was until my daughter arrived with my Grandson and informed me I am baby sitting tonight.
So the beer goes back into the fridge until later and I have to practice my 'cooey Ccoos'.
Wishing you all a fun Xmas.

After years of complaining that the 12lb or so turkey that is the size that I buy for Christmas is far too big 'She Who Thinks She Should be Obeyed' bought the turkey this year - an 18lb monster that looks more like an ostrich than a turkey!
I'll not need to go out and shoot rabbit for Boxing Day pie this year! In fact there will be enough turkey pie for everyone at the Tea Room.
