Thats it, markets closed so I thought it was time to relax. That was until my daughter arrived with my Grandson and informed me I am baby sitting tonight.

After years of complaining that the 12lb or so turkey that is the size that I buy for Christmas is far too big 'She Who Thinks She Should be Obeyed' bought the turkey this year - an 18lb monster that looks more like an ostrich than a turkey!

I'll not need to go out and shoot rabbit for Boxing Day pie this year! In fact there will be enough turkey pie for everyone at the Tea Room.

Just wrapped up a new ironning board for the wife, the kids think its a surf board.

I see the Royal pets are having Corgi for their xmas dinner.
Tastes just like Chicken you know.

That's a laugh. Her-indoors did the same. Complained that a 10lb turkey was too big so I said, you choose it. She bought a 5kg one.

Good Morning and a very merry Christmas to all of the Cafe clientele.

Full English breakfast is now available with Bucks Fizz as an appetiser. Had quite a job getting hold of enough kidneys to fry, but they go so well with a Christmas Day breakfast. Bacon, eggs, saute spuds, tomato, chipolata sausages, mushrooms, fried bread etc etc. Of couse if you don't want the FEB, I can always knock up some porridge, kedgeree or an omelette.

I will be carving the turkey prompt at 2:00 pm so please be seated at the tables five minutes earlier for pulling crackers and serving starters.

Thats the FEB for me!

ps: dont do too good a job or gd will be looking for a job -unless of course u r thinking of buying the lease on the cafe for the new year venture.

Miserable git Ebenezer Mack [actually I'm with you, hence one of the reasons
we left those shores].

Where we differ is I enjoy pulling a cracker.

6.30pm here so have just got home, left at 10am this morn; not stuffed full and not a little sozzled but typing not too bad so I'll press the remote on my armchair, out comes footrest and back reclines. Some modern inventions are good.
Snooze then google box, plenty of films, oh bugger, snooze first.....
now where's that cracker I was going to pull???

Well I enjoy pulling a cracker too, but since there is only Jeffmack and Little Willie here, I guess that's out.

If you're still about Socs, I'll have some champers with you.
