The engines have fired up at last for MDX. ( BPRG ) At long last they are being recognised for the force they will become over the next two years. On the cusp of disclosing huge revenue-earning deals with Global pharmacists. These have been hinted at as being unrolled before the years end, but may be in the next days. You still have time to get in at a bargain-basement price before the SP takes off for real shortly.

You saying the board turned down 1+ for 36p shares? That's not a nice thing to do, especially without consultation .... or is that why certain shareholders asked to meet with the board?

yes bert.....to both questions.
in feb, bm put initial offer of 1.15.....but this was just opening price.
mdx never told the market which you would think would shift sp much higher......but it would also start a bidding war with at least 4 other companies, maybe even more.
communication from mdx has been woeful and this is another reason of last mondays meeting

It would have also meant the current directors losing their jobs and the big fat salary that goes with it.
Wonder why they never said anything ???

How factual is the 240 mil and 1.15 or is it hearsay or ramping?

It is curious that Companies can avoid a takeover, esp if the offer is so good ( being above the Market's valuation). However, I presume that the essence of this is that Dirs have sufficient institutional shareholders to support their refusal.
However, what's to stop a predator from just buying more shares until they have sufficient to trigger a Bid? At that point the Directors will have no choice.
Considering the current sp it's surprising that the offer wasn't grabbed with open arms.
This sort of thing appears to be quite common, for once the Co attempts to tell shareholdedrs the valuation is much higher....everyone wonders why it has only just go this far - - - and promptly sold-out before the last Offer is Withdrawn.
So, what do you think this is worth?
---and how do you support such a valuation?

Is that for the company, or each share?

aw..... you not nice men .....
let me guess... the idea is to make the 26th as uncomfortable as possible for those who protected their salaries by turning down an approach... so after that (whether anything happens at that meeting or not) the SP should start to reflect the companys future value rather than personal feuds :-)

Chocolate you will be getting yourself into hot water..and we all know chocolate dissolves in hot water. As for Fred I thought he was trimming a few trees ready for the rope.although I cant see him jumping from a Bonsai.
And talking about Spelling..I always thought he was that Jewish producer..Still what do I know? Anyone tell me if Chocolate drives a Mondaeo.
Thaks for the welcome Dil.

Tabby, You don't have to worry about me. I have always believed that murder would be the better solution to problems, not suicide. So be careful when there is a Dil and Fred about. 8-)

I think that this would be the best solution for Meldex's present board. They are making progress, but it seems b. slow and with my portfolios at the moment I need some good news.

Fred I love you.I reckon you are a true English Gent and dont ever take me serious. You are one of the few that speaks the truth. Anyway I am hedging towards suicide.
