LIBYA - updating news

cynic - 02 Mar 2011 11:48

starting this thread, which i hope will be short-lived, to keep the board up to date with latest reports gleaned from the net

I'm Spartacus!

Fred1new - 31 Mar 2011 12:34 - 374 of 685

Cynic,

You asked what I would do.

Sometimes, I am known to throw caution to the wind and accept the risks and consequences.

(But, generally, have to have a fall back plan.)
-------------------

Looking at the politics (superficially) many of the AL have been coerced into the coalition decision and have their own internal situations to defend.

If the "coalition" is there on humanitarian grounds, then military actions should be ceased at the earliest opportune movement.

Doing so, will need "ground troops".

American, (British and French? "observers", "liaison officers" and "weaponry" is already being "infiltrated" into Libya.

I think more blood will be shed by delay, than expediting the removal of G.

Wouldn't like to be there.

cynic - 31 Mar 2011 12:45 - 375 of 685

many of the AL have been coerced into the coalition decision ..... reasonable facts to support?

will need "ground troops".... in defiance of AL and libyans strongly stated wishes?

Fred1new - 31 Mar 2011 12:53 - 376 of 685

1) DYOH
2) Wait and see.

Bernard M - 31 Mar 2011 13:09 - 377 of 685

Gadaffe to win even money at betfred bookies.

Soon as he regains some ground the ragtag rebels will flee, sad because bad Gadaffe will slaughter them and their family's after he has won, and the West will do f*** all to help the poor bastards.

NATO taking command does not fill me with hope for the rebels, chocolate wheel springs to mind.

TANKER - 31 Mar 2011 13:37 - 378 of 685

cynic why do the gov call them rebels IF THEY ARE REBELS THEN THE GOV AND UNI ARE HELPING THE WRONG SIDE should they not be called freedom fighters .looking forward to your reply thanks

skinny - 31 Mar 2011 13:40 - 379 of 685

Because they are taking part in a rebellion?

Proof Libyan Invasion was Planned 10 Years in Advance - Occult Connection to March 19 Invasion

I've never watched one of fahel's videos before, but I had a look at his one.
Anyone attaching any value to the links he posts should look at this one....LOL

By the way, Wyatt Earp was born on March 19 which just goes to PROVE his mother was the mythical Minerva (and his daddy must have been Mars).

Fred1new - 31 Mar 2011 14:14 - 381 of 685

or terrorists.

Depends on the advantage to the supporters.

cynic - 31 Mar 2011 16:47 - 382 of 685

or anything one chooses, so long as it is apparent about whom one is talking

Fred1new - 31 Mar 2011 17:09 - 383 of 685

You and me.

cynic - 31 Mar 2011 18:28 - 384 of 685

you're the terrorist!

Fred1new - 31 Mar 2011 19:03 - 385 of 685

8-)

Many have thought that.

Fred1new - 02 Apr 2011 10:04 - 386 of 685

I see Cameron is no longer urging the coalition in any direction.

What a chaotic mess.

He may realise now the difference between posturing and posing with the complications of military intervention.

He is the ghost of Maggie.

cynic - 02 Apr 2011 10:19 - 387 of 685

make your mind up Fred .... in one breath you berate cameron for taking a leading role, and now you moan that he has apparently taken a step back ...... would your obvious choice of Brown or marxist Milliband have performed better? ...... on second thoughts, you'll have to determine whether or not you can vote for Milliband as he is jewish!

Fred1new - 03 Apr 2011 10:48 - 388 of 685

Cynic.

My point I think Cameron is shallow and and a self publicist. I think his policies are ill thought out and he is making more reverse moves than any politician I can remember. I think he is a disaster for this country and feel he has encouraged Libyans on a course to increased bloodshed.
(I hope I am wrong about the latter.)

I think Brown and Milliband superior to Clegg.Cameron and Osborne.

The last comment is at your usual level of Bullshit.

Eat it.

In The Land of the B - 03 Apr 2011 11:15 - 389 of 685

Somebody who thinks Brown is superior to ANYBODY.....!
That makes two Brown lovers in the world, Sarah and freddie

Bernard M - 03 Apr 2011 13:15 - 390 of 685

David Cameron rules out deal for Saif Gaddafi.

True right no deals for Gadaffe, and his family execute the lot of them.

cynic - 03 Apr 2011 15:25 - 391 of 685

fred - as you are clearly died-in-the-wool anti-tory/coalition, your balanced view is clearly worthy of consideration - much as hayseed's on gaza

cynic - 04 Apr 2011 10:10 - 392 of 685

there are unsubstantiated rumours that GM and his sons are looking for way out - i.e. before the rebels nail them ...... all very interesting but .....

my question is what will then happen to the markets, oil/gold/commodity sectors in particular

once the knee-jerk reaction has been and gone, i think the markets will be pretty selective, but given that the libyan oilfields will need major work, stocks like PFC must surely benefit ..... i don't think the likes of halliburton, schlumberger and technip are quoted on uk markets
