Naturally, all us English are convinced there is a conspiracy. I must admit once Putin announced he would not be attending the final throes I became convinced he knew it was in the bag and so it transpired. When all said and done 10 WCs in the West v zero in the East cannot be argued against!

Well it's obvious that getting Prince William, the prime minister and a few sports stars to do a catwalk around in Zurich is not going to do the trick.....
You have to do something special to win an organisation like FIFA over.....
England have to start putting some rules through...after all we invented the game...
There should be a rule that first of all prevents past organisers from bidding again to host the finals against rivals that haven't organised them in decades...: for instance : it should not be allowed that Spain should put itself forward having already organised the finals in 1982 and long after England in 1966......the same rule should have been applied to Germany 2006 and Mexico 1986 who both have organised the world cup twice....
There is nothing wrong in Portugal bidding solely as they have never organised the finals before.....South Korea and the USA should not have taken part as they have both organised finals as opposed to Quatar and Australia who have not....
So it should be forbidden that a country should stand against another country who organised the world cup previously...
For instance : if Uruguay bid for the world cup and Argentina bid...Argentina should stand aside to let the Uruguyans win as they held it in 1978, but the Uruguayans only held it decades before.....
I still think that it is crazy to organise the world cup at the height of june in the middle east...
What about training camps for 32 teams ?.....they expect the teams to train in plus 40c heat.....nuts....ridiculous...it will have to be held in winter 2022.....
They promise to build 10 stadiums or so..all air conditioned.......I'll believe it when I see it....the same goes for the Russians who just have 8 years to transform inadequate facilities into a world class platform...

We should withdraw and disassociate ourselves from the corrupt bunch of muppets
see if they can fund themselves, and see how they miss us.
and that applies to FIFA as well as Scotland

We invented the game. We should be charging FIFA royalties for using its name.

i thought the english were menat to be gracious in defeat?
put yourself in the shoes of one of the delegates...would you vote for the country that basically called them all corrupt 48 hours before the vote......i wouldn't
russia won fair and square and eastern europe have never held it, england have hosted it before...on that level there was only 1 winner...move on there is nothing to see here.
ps joe i would love you to disassociate you lot from us....as i keep saying i am bored of paying for you lot

The Russians will have to spend a fortune now to build new infrastructure...and Quatar to.....both heavy exporters of oil and gas.....

They both have fortunes, so that's unlikely to be a problem is it?

Whai is ridiculous is allowing Spain to be able to bid again when England have not hosted the WC since 1966...they had it in 1982....to my way of thinking....Spain, France, Italy and Germany and now Russia must all be banned from bidding for the next European WC.....but by all means England ,Portugal, Holland, Greece....should proceed with bids.....and if England did win....we would not bid again unless all the other countries had hosted the competition.....it is only fair....this same rule should apply to the European Championships where it is time by the way that Scotland and Ireland together hosted the event....

Nothing at all to do with the fact of course that Everton totally outplayed Chelsea in the second half and were unlucky not to come away with all three points. No, naturally Chelsea had a bad day at the office, becoming a habit dont you think?

unbelievable behaviour from the pseudo barcode - hope they get relegated now.
and for chris's benefit Everton outplayed us for more than just the second half. We're not myopic at chels (unlike so many on here) - we can all see the obvious flaws
and speaking of the power of observation I'll repeat my prediction for the year - its Arsenals title (and lets hope their prefect is looking elsewhere as it happens)

Hey, Pardew's got a proven successful track record of taking sides into the Championship.
I thought, at the very least, he'd try for Martin O'Neill.
