Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Osborne won't resign. PMs can resign during crises but not Chancellors. It would be crazy for him to resign.

VICTIM - 28 Jun 2016 14:56 - 3825 of 12628

I just thought earlier how would you honestly feel now IF the remain had won , watching all those airy fairy actors and celebrities with their falseness .

Haystack - 28 Jun 2016 15:02 - 3826 of 12628

Theresa May has caught up in betting.

Both 13/8

Others have fallen back

Theresa May would be a good PM. She has something of the aura of Thatcher about her.

? The dead in the ground look.

She could have Moggie and Ozzy as pallbearers.

Labour activists were planning to join the Conservative party to vote against Boris as Conservatives did to vote for Corbyn. Sorry to disappoint them but you have to be a member for three months before you can vote.

Vicky all those luvvies, who without doubt sneer at the average Brit whilst happy to take their money have had their greedy snouts bloodied, and they do not like it one bit.

May 31% and Boris 24% among Tory voters and May ahead in wider public.

VICTIM - 28 Jun 2016 15:32 - 3831 of 12628

I think May is secretly glad of the out vote , as she brought up the point about the new countries Albania , Serbia etc links to Mafia type make up , personally I think this is a big point as we would have discovered in time .

cynic - 28 Jun 2016 15:37 - 3832 of 12628

try romania (and italy of course!)

VICTIM - 28 Jun 2016 15:44 - 3833 of 12628

I thought those maybe obvious cynic , anyway when is this leader vote and does whoever come second get to be deputy ( please no hourly updates Hays ).

Haystack - 28 Jun 2016 15:46 - 3834 of 12628

No. David Davis came second last time. The Conservative PM gets to choose their deputy. Labour vote separately for the deputy which is why Watson got the job despite Corbyn not wanting him.

VICTIM - 28 Jun 2016 15:51 - 3835 of 12628

So we could have two remainers at the helm .

Haystack - 28 Jun 2016 15:56 - 3836 of 12628

If May wins then certainly.

No confidence 172 to 40 against Corbyn

Haystack - 28 Jun 2016 16:45 - 3839 of 12628

Boris's team say they won't call an early election.

Haystack - 28 Jun 2016 16:48 - 3840 of 12628

Ordinarily Corbyn would be given a pearl handled revolver and a bottle of whisky. In his case as he is teetotal and a pacifist they have to kill him.

grannyboy - 28 Jun 2016 16:53 - 3841 of 12628

Has the Labour party been out to their 'supporters' and asked them 'if'
there had been a different leader who was more pro-eu would it have
changed their mind in the way that they voted..

I don't think it would have changed their mind one iota, and the fact that
the registration site went down with just 10 minutes to cut off time, which
enabled the government to extend it for 2 extra days to allow for 2 million
'young voters' to register and still the remain vote lost...

cynic - 28 Jun 2016 16:54 - 3842 of 12628

rather the samurai seppuku, except corbyn is nowhere near that class

grannyboy - 28 Jun 2016 18:29 - 3843 of 12628

Nicola Sturgeon has been refused a meeting with the EU commission, the
commission said it was inappropriate at this time.

In other words 'Don't phone us we'll phone you'....
